[War] Trump surrenders to Iran in a humiliating defeat

I posted this 10 days after we bombed Iran. Who could have seen this coming.

It's infuriating that a random dude on a basketball forum posting in sweatpants has a better understanding of history and geopolitics than the current presidential administration.

How do they know it isn't intentional? Heck, how do we know it wasn't intentional? The US helped overthrow Iran's democracy over oil. Pretty sure that was intentional. We helped supply and train the eventual Taliban. That was intentional. Hell, we sold guns to Iran so we could use the money to fund terrorists in Central America. We have lots of blood on our hands (every country that has ever been a world power does). We just mostly ignore it and move on with our lives because we can. We have that luxury.

And when we decide on dropping bombs, I think we better make 100% sure we've double checked the intel. But nobody will actually hold us accountable, nor will the people in charge be held accountable by us. We'll have a little Congressional investigation, it will be a temporary distraction and then poof into the ether of nobody giving a damn.

 

How many American children lost their lives due to October 7th? It was a terrible tragedy for Israel, and even though I don't want them to be at war, I can understand why they would go to war against Hamas and Iran.

Murdering their children does nothing to protect our children. I'd argue, quite the opposite.

 

Arguments are based on reasons, logic, and facts, not politics.

I already replied to this. Show me where Iran actually agreed to zero stockpiling. Zero stockpiling means that there will never be any nuclear material (even non-weapon-grade) in Iran. I haven't seen it.

 

You and I. You talk about Never Trumpers and MAGA. I only talked about Never Trumpers. I already knew some MAGA are against the war, so I didn't push back on that. What I pushed back on is that Never Trumpers were happy about this war.

The simple facts are some Never Trumpers are against this war from the start, and others are against it because they believe Trump hasn't had a clue what he's doing. Thus, the claim that Never Trumpers are "happy" about this war is simply incorrect.

 

So this person since day one has admittedly been a clown, and his only objection to Trump is only that we aren't going to deeply cement ourselves into some horrific, insanely costly, illegitimate war that doesn't serve American interest.

I'm totally in favor of your last sentence and the world would be a better place if we finished them off. If Trump wasn't willing to finish them off and reset the ME then we shouldn't have gone over there to begin with, unless they truly were real close to getting a nuke. Which it looks like they were.

 

Would the world be a better place without Iran on the map? Would sending them into the stone age save lives of innocent people?
