I think fans on here overvalue Sengun. He's a good player but he has to have a team built around him to maximize his talents. Same for Amen and Giannas. The differrnce between Sengun and those players are, they can effect the game on both ends..... Sengun can not.

I've always said Sengun's comp is Sabonis. And although Sengun ppg is higher, Sabonis is a better 3pt shooter and rebounder, so it equals out.

    Alperen Şengün (Houston Rockets) []
    • Points: 20.4 PPG
    • Rebounds: 8.9 RPG
    • Assists: 6.2 APG
    • Field Goal %: 51.9% [1]
    Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings) [1]
    • Points: 15.8 PPG
    • Rebounds: 11.4 RPG
    • Assists: 4.1 APG
    • Field Goal %: 54.3% [1, 2]
    Career Head-to-Head History
In their 10 direct career matchups against each other, they are statistically very similar: [1, 2]
    • Şengün: Averages 17.8 PTS, 8.3 REB, and 6.9 AST
    • Sabonis: Averages 17.5 PTS, 10.4 REB, and 6.8

SO, IF YOU WERE TO TRADE FOR OR TRADE AWAY SABONIS, HOW MUCH WILL YOU NET?

Right now, Charolette is offering Bridges, Green and a future #1 pick. Basically cap fillers and a #1 pick....THAT'S IT

Personally, if I were the Rockets I would target Josh Giddey, Jalen Smith and this yrs #15 pick for Sengun. Tiago Splitter coached Sengun while he was here and I think they have a relationship.

This gives the Rockets a PG for the future and insurance in Jalen Smith in case Tari is asking for too much, plus a #1 this yr.

One very important difference between Sengun and Sabonis’ trade value: Sengun is on a much better contract. That’s a major factor in trade value. Age is another factor; Sengun is 7 yrs younger. Sengun should command a much better return.

Yeah - and the key is to maximise that value. If he flames out first round again getting bodied by Jock Landale (after saying he won't play soft), then I don't see him being worth much...

Also, Sengun is much better at creating unassisted field goals. He basically played as the co-#1 option alongside KD this season and sustained similar numbers to what he gave us with FVV. Sabonis' production has plummeted whenever he's without a good point guard to create opportunities for him.

I think we also have to acknowledge the injury history. Sabonis misses a lot of time with injuries. Sengun has been much more durable.

I agree. When Sabonis was younger, he had much more value around the league.

lol a 5 ppg and 2 apg difference isn’t equalized by being a slightly better 3 point shooter. What a silly argument.

I hope we can get a haul if Sengun is traded. The age and contract are huge factors, as well but will it amount to an extra #1 or a more talented player?

Remember, when Sabonis was traded from Indy, he was at his peak and he was traded for a young and upcoming guard, Halliburton and fillers, no draft picks.

Maybe talk to Danny Ainge about Sengun and a haul of future draft picks for Walker Kessler + Cam Boozer? Don't know if he'd bite, but Peterson doesn't want to play there, and Boozer isn't a great fit on their roster. Sengun should fit very well next to JJJ.

Sengun might be worth multiple FRPs atp, since he is an allstar on a reasonable contract. Though I am not a fan of Boozer's ceiling, the consensus is that he is a solid #2 pick. If Ainge agrees with me and does not like the choices at #2, he might bite on a Sengun trade.

unfortunately no one is giving us a top 4 pick in this draft for Sengun. But we had a chance at a top 4 pick if we had just kept those Nets picks. Blame the front office.

Are you talking about the 2026 #6?

Pelicans are apparently dangling Trey Murphy III for a lotto pick in this draft. Could we entice them with Jabari + two ‘27 FRPs?

Brooklyn tanked once the pick was returned, so it might have wound up less valuable if they had no incentive to suck.

Kevin Love was traded for pick #1 in a year when Andrew Wiggins was viewed as a pretty special player. I understand that came with LeBron coming to Cleveland, but you never know.

I don't think the Rockets are actively shopping Sengun and based on his videos it seems like they are very invested in him taking another step but The Jazz are operating in a very strange way right now. I wouldn't rule out a weird move where they move back a few spots Clippers/Jazz/Rockets three way is something I could see with Sengun to the Clippers, #5 + other assets (whether future or current like Reed) to the Jazz and #2 to the Rockets.

Jazz are said to be very interested in Acuff, he should be there at #5 barring something bonkers happening.

or better because they had different lottery balls and they had luck, its impossible to re litigate that one, what is clear is the Rockets traded out of a generational draft. Stone didn't think that one through.

    Durant, Adams to Warriors

DFS, Capela, #11, Hou 28 1st to Pelicans

    Butler, Murphy, Missi to Rockets

I’d also propose (separate on paper, but included in the deal)

    Eason S&T (4/84)

    For

    Looney, Bey, Maktovic

They would still have been a bad team and we still would have had a decent chance at a top pick. Even #6 in this draft can net you a franchise player.

Can you, like, pick a new schtick? You are getting really annoying repeating the same stuff over and over.

    3 team trade:
Chicago: Sengun, Phx 27, Dal 29, NOP 27
    NOP: Okoro, Williams, 2026 #4
Houston: Trey Murphy III, 2026 #15

    Probably not enough for Chicago.
