I don't see anybody offering Trae the max (hardly any teams even can without letting go of better players in the process). I think he just re-signs in Washington for something like $30M, maybe $35M AAV.

They must have an extension already worked out. I can’t imagine somebody like Trae turning down about 25M more than he is worth. Way overrated player. Washington may be the dumbest FO in the league, maybe we can steal that no.1 pick from them. Come on guys. How can you resist a line-up of AD, Trae, and KD?

I think the Wizards are OK here if they sign Trae for just 3 years. His salary may not be difficult to manage because of their cap situation and they can pawn him off with one year remaining without too much trouble.

They should be ready when it's time to extend their youngsters.

That feels like an absolute bargain for the Suns.
Also Gillespie's 12mill per year - I wonder if he could have got full MLE somewhere?

    Great deal for the Hawks.

OKC did what they had to do. Seems like they could have gotten more for Wiggins, but they completely destroyed his market value by converting him to scrub status in the playoffs.

BREAKING: University of Michigan coach Dusty May has agreed to become the new head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, sources tell me, @AdamSchefter, @PeteThamel. Major college-to-pro jump for the 2026 NCAA championship coach and swing for the Mavericks and Masai Ujiri.
