I know we aint got much... but like a "if we let Tari walk... if we dont resign any of our expirings... minus mins to potentially fill out the roster... 2nd draft pick implications..." I assume any extension for Amen wouldnt kick in until the year after... I think JD is a po which i assume he'd opt into... id assume we try to hold Newton - but maybe not...Apron implications vs mle and all that... yeh, i could research it - but im too lazy - lol... so if anybody else has compiled all that...

He's not wrong tho (IIRC)... I thought there was a discussion in another thread about FVV opting out & signing a 3 year, $45M deal that would open cap space ($14M + $15M + $16M). I could see 1st year gtd, 2nd year PO, & 3rd year TO if so. That would be almost $30M guaranteed vs. $25M PLUS it is slightly above / around the MLE - which is likely the max FVV would earn on the open market. $25M - $14M = +$11M for 2026 - 2027 (further away from 1st apron)

It was a gamble... on the plus side, he'd be under contract at a reasonable rate for 4 years if he returned to form - but only 2 years are guaranteed, so if he doesnt, its not a longterm gamble...
