TJ has made a fool of himself on this board for 25 years. Do you think he cares if he does it one more time?

    Last line...
"The era of unilateral imposition against Iranians is over."

    Meanwhile today...

Israel's ambassador to the United States, Yechiel (Michael) Leiter, told Morning Edition

"We're not going to withdraw from South Lebanon, and the madmen of Tehran have no business poking their nose into this," Leiter said in an interview with NPR's Steve Inskeep.

The hardliners got everything they could ever wish for, and all they had to give up was the death of a guy who had a terminal illness.

Damn son, absolutely wild if that's accurate.

300 billion, all sanctions removed, all frozen assets/funds released

    for

Open strait, and for Iran to declare it won't make a nuclear weapon, while getting to maintain its nuclear program, and it's current government.

Seems like we just spent a lot of money, caused a lot of inflation, and killed thousands of people (including American soldiers, little girls) just to have exactly what we already had in 2017, except now with the previous Ayatollah's son in charge, who will seemingly have a bolstered economy and political grip on the country, and from what I've read, holds mostly the same, if not more extreme positions than his father.

That's a pretty sad situation, if true.

The blockage was never going to work anyway, but WTH! (usual disclaimer: if true)

Direct line from Washington to Doha
The US Navy, which at the time presented a tough line and claimed it was blocking maritime exports and imports to Iran, was in fact operating a dual policy: With one hand it imposed a blockade, and with the other it allowed the financial oxygen tap to be opened through the Gulf route.

Did you expect Trump to do anything right?

    Trump can
    1. leave things be
    2. make things worse
    3. make things better - never an option for this guy because he is incapable of doing so.

he almost ALWAYS choses option 2 and when he does the MAGA idiots defend him.

Word on the Street is that the US version is exactly the same, except it is signed by ... Barack Hussein Obama. If you have to blame anybody about this deal blame Obama.

    update,

In an interview with CBS News Monday morning, JD Vance seemed to tacitly confirm the premise that Iran
could be given "access" to a reconstruction fund worth as much as $300 billion.

    Damn so much criticism.

It was a stupid war, that should never have been started (human rights and support for protestors lol???), and most on here seems to agree trump was dumb enough to be pulled in. as much as it was a stupid move, ending it is the right/smart thing to do.

But I have to wonder how much of this criticism is paid for by those that want the war to continue. making trump's 'peace deal' into a national disgrace, and forcing him to reconsider and continue with the war.
