I do the same. The only problem with that is when the subject is actually football related and you miss half the recent thread. Often it is very difficult to figure out and follow the new information when posters are commenting on posts that you can't see.
On the other hand, when you have both morons on ignore along with the person most likely to jump in and give his oh-so-important Great opinion, the thread is quite easy to navigate.

Yeah, that's always a risk but I've noticed an increase in the overall quality of CF ever since I stopped responding and started just blocking the truly malevolent posters. Imo that's because the trolling shtick requires a participant and in the past I've been too willing to engage with these idiots and do so for far too long. In fact, it would be fair to say I've been one of the worst offenders when it comes to engaging with trolls. With me simply no longer doing so, there seems to be noticeably fewer of them.
I commend you and have noticed the change. While many may disagree, in the past I noticed that as long as someone came at you with respect, you were fine if a person disagreed with you. It was those who attacked you that set you off. You were always open for honest, sports related discussions. Too bad not everyone is like that now and they feel the need to make their point clear many times a day even if it is not relevant to the current conversation.
I commend him too! I was ripping into @cmoak1982 and out of left field, he joins into the conversation to save his boy! That's commendable! And like you said, he had changed alot. As long as a person came at him with respect, he was fine! Even if they disagreed. But somewhere along the way, I guess he changed back, because he came at me. Lol I was totally shocked at how he came into a conversation that had absolutely nothing to do with him.....You think when I mentioned MAGA standing for Morons And Guillables Association that made him a little angry?
