A Georgia family is talking about the terrifying moments when a man opened fire on them with an AR-15 during their family reunion.

Deputies were called out on Sunday night to the gathering along Autumn Leaf Drive in Leesburg for reports of a shooting.

When deputies got to the scene, they found one person with a gunshot wound.

While interviewing members of the family, they said Jeffrey Kinzer had gotten into an argument with some of the people at the reunion, but then left.

“He’s talking junk. He started yelling the ‘N-word,’” Ramell Green, a witness, told WALB-TV. “He kept going, so we let him go. We just discussed what had happened after.”

They said Kinzer then came back armed with an AR-15 and was wearing body armor. He then opened fire on the crowd.

“People started taking positions because they saw he had a gun. And I was in the middle of the street,” Green said. “And I grabbed my gun and started returning fire and moving with him.”

“It’s so hurtful. I cried all night,” witness Loucindi Broussard told the TV station. “I’m laying outside on the ground for a shootout. I’m under a car with my sister, who is 77 and I’m 62.”

Kinzer was also wounded in the shooting and was taken to a nearby hospital.

He has been charged with aggravated assault. He was later released from the Lee County Jail on $5,000 bond.

The fact that we are even arguing about this is what is wrong in America.

The kid should not have stabbed the other kid in the heart. Rittenhouse should not have taken an AR to a protest looking for trouble. Zimmerman should not have chased down and kid and killed him and gotten off. The cop shouldn't have killed a suspect by putting a knee on his neck. People shouldn't be looting businesses during protest. All these things are bad.

The fact it's pretty easy to know which side of every one of these incidents many of you are on before you even write a word indicates your prejudices. You guys wear your Republican, Democrat, Left, Right, Conservative, Liberal leanings like a Dodgers Jersey.

The issue I have with TJ is not his conservative leanings. I have tons of friends that vote Republican. It's that he supports his stance with asinine arguments on the daily that insults my intelligence. I discriminate against stupidity.

The kid deserves his jail time for stabbing another kid in the heart, but so do Zimmerman, Rittenhouse, and all the traitors who stormed the Capitol Building.

Instead, Republicans made Rittenhouse into a celebrity.

 

did you see zimmerman’s photos afterward? Put those next to Karmelo’s photos. One was beat like a dusty rug and one had not a scratch. I’m not saying that Zimmerman was a saint in the whole thing, but he was definitely under full physical attack (he was mounted, took continuous punches to the face, and then his head was slammed repeatedly into the concrete) So, there is a big difference in the cases.

Rittenhouse was running away from people who were trying to kill him. One had a gun and did admit that he tried to kill him. Again, completely different case and not at all about race (all involved were white?)

Black people are not treated unfairly by the justice system.

 

You don't know that any of that is accurate about Zimmerman. He definitely suffered injuries, but exactly how is unknown. Could have taken one punch to the face and fell back on his head and that it. Could have ran into a ladder while running for all we know.

Rittenhouse was also carrying a gun he legally shouldn't have had. And to say the first guy was trying to kill him is a pretty big stretch unless a bag of clothes is deadly. The other guy who you say admitted to trying to kill him didn't shoot him despite having a gun and trying to kill him? BTW, he testified under oath that he wasn't trying to kill him.

Black people are definitely treated unfairly by the justice system. Doesn't mean every case that happens, but stat after stat backs up that they are treated unfairly.

 

The statistics do not support your argument. I don't disagree with all your positions, but they are seldom supported by solid facts.

 

They just aren’t comparable cases.

Karmelo was unprovoked.

Black people are not treated unfairly by the justice system or in society at all. I would say they treat society unfairly with their mass over representation in violent crime stats. But of course, that’s whitey’s fault again I suppose. It gets old.
