I think he'll be happy to come back. Something tells me KD doesn't really care about hurting a bunch of 22 year old's feelings. It is what it is.
I have no doubt KD is fine coming back. Why wouldn’t he? He can pursue his personal record setting goals, play hog ball, and partake in his childish behavior while making 44m a year. A well run organization like GSW knew when to cut the cord. Phoenix seems to also have won the trade. We need to get rid of this cancer. It’s like keeping a curable cancer, because you don’t want to take chemo for a year.
They literally begged him to join, begged him to stay, and have tried every season to get him back. This is LITERALLY, with no hyperbole, the opposite of what has happened in real life. He hates them (obviously) so he's said no, and is the only reason he's not there.
Kd on the clock? Nahhhh the front office is. We have Amen who can't shoot and is practically a 6'7 Westbrook. We have a slow footed Center that gets burned on D and is more like a 90's center than a 2026. Jabari needs work but is a decent shooter and the jury is still out on Reed. So now it is up to the front office to decide if they have the balls to trade assets to surround KD with the pieces to win a title for this upcoming season. If not just keep trading and attach whatever assets needed with KD to get us a young building block.
For just Kawhi? I would do it just to get KD out of here, but I don’t see them giving up anything else in the trade and Kawhi can’t stay on the court. I would do KD and a couple of decent draft assets to get their 26 pick and Kawhi or filler.
Tari can’t be sign and traded and consolidated with another player in a trade. It’s against the rules.
Amen and Reed or Sengun plus the two 2027 1st round picks don’t have the strength to get Houston a real game changing all star.
Portland doesn't have a pick this year, but they have a terrible owner, reportedly have interest, and they do have plenty of young players: Clingan, Henderson, Sharpe, Camara, etc. I doubt our front office goes the direction of selling KD for young players, unfortunately
Ayo + serious draft pick (s) If you could add players with the sign and trade, I'd take Naz along with him. But, it's not allowed. There's likely a better deal out there.
That’s the type of thinking that hasn’t gotten us to a Finals in 35 years. Considering Stone hasn’t made one trade deadline deal since he’s authored this titanic, my guess is they’d ride it out with the two old guys until the following season.
If KD wants out, you obviously trade him. However, you don't trade KD because you are so butt hurt fan who constantly falls in love with unproven draft prospects.
LMAO found a butt hurt fan. GSW may have wanted to keep KD over Draymond Green..... Or are we forgetting about Draymond's behavior? It's Durant's fault the PHX gutted their roster to add the great Bradley Beal? It's Durant fault our young core wasn't ready and Ime couldn't figure out the offense? What you are 11 years old?
Anyone who thinks they can find KD's production in the draft and/or by trading for a bunch of young players is as ignorant as they are smelly.
