I understand you're not trying to have a meaningful conversation here and hoping I go all "bUt tEsla iS mOre tHaN a cAr cOmPaNy". Really though, Im not sure what that has to do with my point. As an investor, I wish they would shelf the project and move on.

It's tongue in cheek. Everything Musk touches gets overvalued relative to its peer competitors. But the invisible hand has decided these are appropriate valuations.

Literally the only thing you do here is judge, gaslight, and demean literally half of the United States because they disagree with your bizarre worldview.

Your soapbox of moral authority is the size of the freaking titanic.

The bet isn’t on spaceX, Tesla, etc. It’s on Elon. It’s just that simple and it just goes to show you how braindead Wall Street has become. Look at this and also the way Wall Street has been so easily manipulated by Trumps “inevitable” deals with Iran. Every single time the markets react like he’s a serious president and they’ve learned nothing.

If you do the math on SpaceX, the value of the ipo is assuming that literally 1/4 of the world will be active meaningful customers.

But this is a bet that Elon will continue to control a wide swath of government contracts moving forward. That is an assumption by Wall Street that Trump and MAGA continue to stay in power for the next 25 years. Elon has tied himself to the maga ship and if/when that ship sinks… which hopefully is sooner than later… it’s hard to see how Elon’s power in this country doesn’t sink to the bottom of the ocean.

Any non-MAGA presidency or government around the world will have no desire whatsoever to give him any deference, and there will be no desire to placate his white supremacy bs. Governments will tax the living crap out of him as well. In the end the bet here more than anything is a bet on MAGA power surviving… which is really something else.

If the investors believed in musk, he'd still be running the company even if he owned fewer shares. And one again, the company's capital doesn't change when investors sell their stock. Their investors change.

Good thing Walmart closed without Sam Walton, Microsoft collapsed without Bill Gates, Disney failed without Walt, & Apple has become worthless without Steve Jobs

    lol epic post.

Walmart with walton - Better (**** company) - Walton (8 years pre IPO - 18 years after IPO) - Total 26 years
Microsoft without Gates - Better (**** company) - Gates (11 years pre IPO - 14 years after IPO) - Total 25 years
Disney without walt - Worse (**** company) - Disney (34 years pre IPO - 9 years after IPO) - Total 43 years
Apple without jobs - Worse (doing well but struggling) Jobs (4 years pre IPO - 23 years post IPO) - Total 27 years
SpaceX without Musk - Worse (doing very well) - Musk (24 years pre IPO - ?? years post IPO) - Total 24 years

The data correlation tends to indicate two things: 1) the companies best years tend to be after IPO AND 2) right before CEO retires.

Also, Musk will sell shares. For capital improvement and investment opportunities that helps everyone. You want to hand it to one of the worst government regimes in our country's history. Both spit in your face. One regime sends you into raging disgust when they do it. But with the other, you take it like a p*rn star. I don't judge a persons kinks, but dont ask me to participate.
Last and most comical thing. No company will survive if the founding CEO left right after IPO with the company in massive debt. your hatred will not shatter my childhood dreams of space exploration when your beloved government failed epically.

Of course…Bernie and folks like Liz Warren vote every 6 months to spend way more of other people’s money than Elon would make in lifetimes.
