Musk's contributions to the advancement of society are historic. Investors believe in both his VISION and his track record of success and want to be aligned with him. As do employees, customers, vendors, partners, etc. He's a generational talent in the world of business and innovation. We are witnessing a once-in-a-century businessman in his prime.

Successful, wealthy people create jobs and wealth for other people, amigos! We should celebrate them. Why the left hates them is just simple jealousy at work. Liberals are small and petty people!

It’s in the companies, not his bank account
It’s not his paycheck, It’s in stocks in the companies he built.
If he sells the stocks , the companies lose all their capital.
    Then no more company
    No more jobs

Elon built companies created jobs and wealth

The govt had money and created ungrateful whiny ass, murderous thieves and scoundrels.

    I pick Elon

Umm... That's not how stock works. Elon could sell 100% of his stock, and the company loses 0 capital. The stock price would decrease because of the large sell order, but the company's financial statements are the exact same before and after.

What do you expect from a group of people who are in debt for life over a BA degree that barely pays minimum wage. If the education system actually gave them a real education in economics, they would never went that route, much less understand something as complex as 'trillionaire' status.

They do not understand the difference between (consumer) disposable/discretionary/operating money vs (producer/builder)invested/deployed money, even though they can explain it. Just like there are people who can ace college and get their paper but struggle to actually be productive with the knowledge. Just as an encyclopedia is completely useless if not used. These are text book Dunning-Kruger effect people.

The builder mindset views every dollar as an opportunity to redeploy into something that produces. They value their self worth on the yield of their investment, not in currency form, but in actual usable and productive products.

The consumer mindset is very different. Their self worth comes from their peers. Its more important to be perceived as being correct/right than to expect failures and course correct. The 'sophisticated' consumer will drop a large cash on an investment, take the yield, and then go buy something that gives them status or a temporary dopamine hit. They are quick to talk about their gains (and never their losses) while door dashing **** food, buying cheap useless crap on amazon and spending their free time consuming mind numbing entertainment. A very typical consumer mindset is to go online, criticize the successful hyperbuilders while waiting for their doordash to arrive with their over price chipotle and then spend hours binge watching the latest shitty Star Wars series. And by the age of 50, them and their familys health is starting to spiral out of control, frequent doctors visits that cost them $$$ then complain about the other team for out of control health care spending. Meanwhile, they are hateful and envious of those who enjoy lifes greatest luxuries, as if owning a yacht, or eating at the finest restaurants or owning expensive cars will somehow improve their life.

Meanwhile, Musk and his team has solved a 2 decade problem - bringing affordable highspeed internet not just to anywhere on this planet, but also to the surrounding regions of space. In conjunction with AI, the poorest and most extreme places on this planet now have access to the greatest library of information our species has ever offered. And they hate him simply because he mocks their shitty teams political ideology.

The company would lose the vast majority of its capital because Musk and his team would no longer be in control the company, thus anyone with any intelligence, both investors and builders, would bail on the company leaving nothing behind. Im sure in your mindset, any rich guy could do what Musk has done.

Thats how stocks work. No confidence = no capital.

It's sincerely hilarious how you somehow forget to mention the US government has given Elon Musk more taxpayer subsidies than any other customer in the world. If it wasn't for the Obama admin tesla would've died a decade ago. If it wasn't for the US government spacex would've been dead awhile back lol.

Sincerely speaking but why are right wingers so utterly stupid

If it wasn't for the government, NASA wouldn't exist. If it wasn't for the government, airlines wouldn't exist. If it wasn't for the government, government wouldn't exist and nothing would exists. blah blah blah. Your logic is stupid.

LOL @ comparing NASA to spacex. Let's compare a government agency set up by congress to a for profit corporation. What a dumbass statement.

The reality is all those dumbasses @Tomstro who hate on the government don't acknowledge if it wasn't for the US government Elon Musk would be nowhere he is now. NASA single handily saved spacex when it was dead broke. The US government gave Tesla a loan at a time no investor would loan it a dollar.

Point being is right wingers are sincerely some of most brainwashed people in the world.

Builders build. Consumers become enslaved to their laziness and addictions. A lazy screen addict hates nothing more than a hard working successful people. "I have ADHD. I can't help im useless and lazy".

I doubt @Tomstro hates government. Builders hate ineffective government. When government is at its peak effectiveness, countries thrive. China. Vietnam. South Korea.

Its very ignorant to pretend the most successful companies did not get some form of government assistance, whether its local, county, state or federal tax breaks or straight up incentivized subsidies. Its about as dumb as claiming water is wet or 1+1=2.

Tinny when he heard the news

Criticizing a person/group/strawpeople for being hateful while also being pretty aggressively judgmental (hateful?) of a self created caricature of an incredibly large group of people is interesting

I don’t know why you guys have to get so angry when having these discussions, this is a good one for example, but it just gets muddied to hell with the personal annoyances that overly dictate the conversation.

Thanks for making my point. The only people who care about the roadster are consumers, the people who only care about what other people think about them.

The Roadster provides no real solution to any problem. It brings in very little capital. Its a giant distraction to much more important projects. The only real criticism here is Musk/Tesla ever taking on this distraction.

I don't stand on a soap box of moral authority. Im a extremely flawed person. Nobody is here to have meaningful discussions.

However you are quick to point out my flaws while glossing over others. We are all guilty of this.
