2 time all star at age 23. Just because he's not a franchise level player at this point doesn't mean he's not a valuable player. Why are we doing this collectively?
He is a valuable piece of the equation. So was Harden in his time. We should explore options of trading Sengun, but not panic sell him. There’s nothing wrong with playing out what if scenarios as fans. Indianapolis sold high on Sabonis and ended up in the finals. Nobody is untouchable, even Amen for the right price. I just don’t think we have the right guys making the decisions and the aprons have made having a competent GM all that more important.
I don't think you'll need to rely on him being a 37+ minute starter because of the forced PG others got this season. I don't think any of them really excelled, but I do think they (mostly Amen and Reed) improved on that end. The beauty of FVV is that he's just a game manager with decent offensive game and decent defense. He doesn't have to be lethal. He'll hit plenty on KD swings from double teams (hopefully faster than he did this season). That's literally all we needed this season. A floor general that knew how to initiate an offense and could handle some ball pressure when presented. Vastly improving the roster through some generational draft pick or franchise player trade is so so difficult. I just don't understand why you'd pull the plug on this squad when we clearly had major deficiencies preseason that precluded us from ever getting our footing. Nonetheless we started the season strong, but then just couldn't continue the committee ball handling duties. A team needs a steady point guard. This hill I shall die on!
This is part of the problem. The Houston coaching staff has zero clue on how to shoot the basketball. Alpi needs to out there with the best shooting coaches in the world and working out with him. Not the coaches that coach one of the worst offenses in the NBA.
lol Ben Simmons making two awkward shots in a row is the same as Sengun making 5 with a far more natural shooting motion? Sengun averaged .3 from 3 last season on about 2 attempts per game. He’s really not far from being an average 3 point shooter. Ben Simmons literally never averaged more than .2 3pa in a season. Not 2 — .2.
Great Scott! The Delorean still works and Alpi was never traded or left the Rockets for the next 11 seasons! Were they good years? And what stocks should I invest in the future?
Bc its CF, man... everybody is either a 'generational talent' - or a worthless scrub that could be replaced for far cheaper... there is nothing in between... lol
