Trump blowing hot air again. Iran isn't going to accept a deal if Israel keeps bombing Lebanon and Israel will never stop.

“Nothing has changed” despite Trump’s announcement he is cancelling strikes on Iran, Ali Akbar Dareini from the Center for Strategic Studies in Tehran, told Al Jazeera.

“From the Iranian viewpoint, first the US needs to take confidence-building measures before any negotiations take place and before Iran is ready to even talk about the nuclear issue.

“That has not happened. And on the ground realities are telling us that the Americans have taken no measures to de-escalate tensions. From the Iranian viewpoint, Iran does not give in to coercion.

“So I have every reason not to trust what Trump says is a real development.”

A key element of Trump’s statement is that it says Israel is among the countries that have approved the proposal to end the war, says Sultan Barakat at Qatar’s Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

As we’ve been reporting, Iran has insisted that any deal to end the conflict must include an end to Israel’s military assault on Lebanon.

If that demand has been accepted, Barakat told Al Jazeera that “there is a real prospect that this is going to develop into something concrete”.

Iran to Israel: we didn’t say anything to him.
Israel to Iran: don’t look at us.

I was around 13 or 14 years old when I heard this at a house party for the first time. Talk about a trip down memory lane...

    Here's what really happened:

Trump saw the stock market was falling and decided it was time for another manipulation tweet.

    The End

We’re learning? MFer, we knew this back in 2016. You and the rest were so busy meat riding and drinking cult kool-aid that you had no idea. But some of the meat riders have known what Trump is for a long time and still spew propaganda to the mindless MAGAs. They’re probably the most heinous and malicious of them all.

this dude, rode tramp`s D for over a decade, through all the lies and BS to this. I guess on one hand it's nice to see him be somewhat honest, but everyone who turns from him at some point got their hand slapped and they do this out of revenge or spite or whatever, see MTG, L Boobert, Cassidy, Tom Massie etc

They need to lean into it more, I wish one of them would come clean and say, I knew I fed you BS for a decade, but I was hungry for power and got sucked in.

I actually kind of feel sorry for trump at the moment, on one hand he is getting pressure both domestically and internationally to make an agreement with iran, on the other hand Isreal is the boss and is doing exactly the opposite to what he wants. must be hard...guess all the billions of dollars and keeping epstein files under wraps does make it a little better.

He could end the war right now if he wanted to.

He doesn’t want it to end because he can’t accept that he made a dumb decision.

I agree with (c), but disagree strongly with (a) and (b). Sometimes the person who starts a mess can't end it whenever they want, and this looks like one of those times.

All he has to do is bring our troops home. Done. Bad for his brand, but he could do it.

I don't think its as easy as bring the troops home.
    1. ending the war without an agreement does not guarantee the strait opening up. Not for the benefit of the whole world, but america loosing its grip on the middle east.
    2. isreal is not going to let america just ending it, like it or not, anything to do with the middle east, america does not have autonomy.in its decisions.
    3. american domestic stakeholders have too much invested now, energy, defense, logistics, insurance etc....not going to end well for them if the war ends now, need time to divest investments.

Its a ****ed up situation. He can't end it, and america does not have the capability to win on battlefield fast, so really trump got tricked into this war and is stuck

It looks to me that Trump is focusing on trying to get the straight open if Iran will agree to enter into talks about the uranium. Once the straight is open he can spend the rest of his time as President saying they are negotiating with Iran and that Iran is a tough negotiator, but they are making great progress on a very strong agreement. Oh, and we will probably send Iran a lot of money.

Trump is probably ready to move on to Cuba Cuba Cuba.

Today marked the 39th time Trump has said a deal with Iran will happen soon. It's hard not to be skeptical of the orange man.

    1. Ending the war "on all fronts", including Lebanon

    2. The US committing to "non-interference in Iran's internal affairs"

    3. US naval blockade lifted within 30 days

    4. US commited to withdraw it's military forces stationed around Iran

    5. Reopening the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under "Iranian arrangements"

    6. Ending sanctions on Iranian oil export

    7. The US and its allies commiting to a reconstruction plan for Iran worth at least 300 billion dollars

    8. A 60-day period to discuss the nuclear issue with the lifting of all US and UN sanctions + IAEA resolutions

    9. Iran's commitment to not build nuclear weapons under the NPT treaty

    10. US will not send more forces to the middle east or add sanctions during the talks

    11. The release of 24 billion dollars of Iran's frozen assets. Half of it must be released before the 60-day negotiation period.

    12. Establishing a supervisory mechanism to oversee the agreement + agreement approved by the UNSC

    Yikes......
