I mean I heard enough people talk about his personality.....they don't see him as a worker bee in a hive...... Flamboyant not the right word but his temperament does not fit with their style.....also he does not run as fast as I think he would. The only thing is that he dislikes Wemby and wants to stick it to him. The lack of shooting is the straw that broke the camel's back.
He also cant defend Wemby. He plays right into the Spurs hands. These playoffs have shown us its not shooting that bothers Wemby in fact he wants you to take threes, he loves blocking those. Its size in the post that bothers him on both sides. Its big guys forcing HIM to shoot threes and on the other side forcing him to guard a strong body in the post. OG, KAT and Robinson have all proven this to be true.
People underestimate how modest Chet Holmgren still is......I mean it can be detrimental at times/vs Wemby. He was actually a great 2nd/3rd option against the Lakers, it really just the Spurs.
Nah I wouldn’t be spending mental energy on Sengun trades. We have bad players in our rotation, I’d focus on that.
I don’t think Jake Laravia and Quentin Post being able to guard anyone in our front court 1v1 is the answer.
I think I'd do it, with some reservation about the injury history. I'm not super worried about the playoff performance personally. It's part of the maturation process for most top players. You're plugging in an elite defender and floor spreader at a position where both of those things have been glaring weaknesses. I think he'd make a huge impact. OKC ain't gonna go for it though...
Hell naw! Chet played like a pu$$y against Wemby...Sengun may miss some easy bunnies, but at least he has more fight in him than Chet.
100% - OKC would have to be VERY desperate to let go of Chet and if they do it, they aren't trading him to a rival team in their conference. Jalen Williams is far more likely to be traded than Chet since they already have SGA and guys like like McCain and Mitchell can help them field a more competitive roster without having to spend a supermax on multiple players.
There was this guy named Harden they traded to a team in their conference... But I think that's why it's even less likely they move Chet within conference. They're so loaded with cap and talent, they're not as stressed as they were with KD and Russ.
OKC ain't dumb enough to do this. I know Sengun had one monster game v Wenbanyama. I remember it. But that was literally 1 - in March 2024. There's been a lot of games since then and he's mostly gotten rekt. Nobody's trading Chet for him
LOL - don't be stupid. I would not have traded Cam for nothing like we did, I would have let him mature first. DD
Maybe I’m in the minority, but only if there’s another move lined up to acquire an offensive engine (example: Ant). If you swapped the two right now we’re still looking at a first round exit.
