Dana did try to pump up team yesterday with "we are not selling at deadline" and team responds like this. Ofcourse even if Dana is smarter and thinking should sell he can't say that publicly especially when his contract is running out. Probably can't ask extension after saying we need to burn this down. 70ish games way under .500. Javier and Diaz coming back most likely not improvement. If Diaz gets on 1 more hot streak trade him on higher note rather than let him swat flies for year after that. No reason to hang Astros destiny to his. I believe in this team and believe that even with Joe we can play second half .500.
Stat-pad L = major differential damage Astros have made no progress toward 500 since the peak of the barely awesome 4-game winning streak. Only needed 3 pitchers, so there's that. .
I fear the AL is gonna stay so bad this season the Astros will never actually be fully "out" so we waste even more assets on a not good team.
I can't stay up for these late west coast games but dang, its feast or famine with this team. Looks like Teng wasn't very good and our bats stayed silent and TBH that's the calling card of this team, inconsistency. It's gonna be a long year and it feels like Yordan`s performance will be wasted I`ll still cheer and watch but I don't see us doing anything, hell it would be a miracle to get to .500..........I don't think we buy or sell, we just stay stagnant
There's nothing special about this team aside from Alvarez. They need a rebuild, but Brown and Espada probably won't have time for that if they want to keep their jobs. It's not a great situation to be in.
Team just seems incapable of going on a run. Very important game tonight…absolutely cannot be losing a series against the Angels.
Teng did better than I thought he would in his first couple of starts. Might be coming back to Earth now this his average fastball velo is back down to around 92. Would be nice to move him back to the pen where he can be good instead of meh as a SP.
i think they should pair him up with someone else and tell him he's only pitching for 3-4 innnings tops. I think he conserves his energy to try to make it 6 innings.

I rather get obliterated 10-0 than losing 2-1. Get the crap on both sides of the ball out of the system in one game. It pisses me off when we don't give our TOR guys run support.
Never makes sense when people say this. The same crowd will then comment/complain about having bad stats. They say 10-0 is better, then comment about the bullpen ERA being league-worst and saying they suck. Would you rather the TOR guy lose 10-0 or 2-1 ?? It's not ideal for any pitcher to perform, then not receive enough run support.
