but that doesn't excuse the flagrant 2, elbowing by Wemby; but he was sending the message that he will not just stand there
and take the physical targeting

i wish that YaoMing had sent this message when he was playing for the Rox. it'd have save him from
so much physical targeting from the other nba teams

Wait... a 23-21 difference in fouls called, in favor of San Antonio, indicates shady NBA reffing?

The difference in fouls called resulted in a much larger difference in FTs attempted in the 2nd half, since that's what you do when you get the other team in the bonus, early!

You don't have a God-given right to shoot the same number of FTs, especially when you commit 2-3 fouls in the opening 2 minutes of a quarter. That makes the opponent go on attack mode on offense.

Anyone with any familiarity with the game of basketball knows this.

If you want to win the FT battle, don't get in the bonus early. Essentially no difference in total fouls committed doesn't matter, if you get in the bonus and the other team is smart and attacks you because of it.

 

You can get into the bonus early if the refs are calling bogus fouls on you.

 

I can say I have not been watching much Spurs Basketball
but have they been so Brutal/Bullyball all year
Never though the Knicks would be the finesse team
The Hard fouls etc
