Castle is a better shooter then Reed, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The ONLY data you should be looking at is this years playoffs. None of the stats from the last 2 regular seasons matter. There's a reason the knicks are so terrified of castle shooting a 3 that they guard him like he's curry.

I think Reed is the better shooter in totality but if he can't get on the court it doesn't matter. Dismissing Castle as a non-shooter when he's so clearly able to knock down an open shot is low level analysis. Castle is so clearly the best player in his class. I actually don't think drafting Reed was bad in theory but now knowing that Castle didn't come because of FVV and Jalen Green and knowing Ime was a fan of his makes me want Stone fired today. Luckily I do not think Castle and Harper will work together long term and Harper is a franchise level talent. Also fun fact. At 703 minutes, Stephon Castle has more minutes played in the 2026 playoffs than Reed Sheppard played in his entire rookie season (654). This playoff run shooting for Castle is A) not a small sample size b) not a fluke.
