I respect that. I wondering why you keep saying Wisconsin. He's in Maine.

I don't know why I was thinking Wisconsin. Thanks for clarifying that. I can't vote in those states anyway, but just don't want Republicans winning.

Whatever Trump does is fine with his cult. He can vote by mail even though he goes to Florida most weeks to golf, grift, or fundraise at his properties..

I think it is more likely that the Democrat loses with him.

Maine has one of the strongest independent electorates (~ 37I, 33D, 30R). Angus King is a clear example of that.

Independents will turn away from a bad candidate. And no, he cannot convince even a majority of independents that he has changed. In addition, he has the real potential to drag down the blue wave. His impact goes beyond Maine.

In a year when you can point to Trump's massive mishandling of the war, the economy, and his open corruption, this candidate's story could be a gift to Republicans. It distracts from what Republicans cannot defend over the past 2 years and shifts the message to Democrats supporting a woman abuser and a Nazi.

Not only should Democrats avoid supporting a bad character, doing so is very likely a strategic mistake.

I hope he loses in the primary.

Maine voters still stand by Graham Platner:

“I’d like to think we could get someone that doesn’t have as much baggage as Platner, but right now it looks like he’s our best choice to win so he’s got my vote”

“I think any of those things are abhorrent and I’m sorry that he has that, but look at what we’re dealing with on a federal level. They haven’t done anything with the Epstein Files”

“There have been some things that have come out that have disappointed me a little bit about Graham Platner, however, I still think he’s the best candidate”

AP calls the race for Graham Platner.

I heard on The Internets so it must be true.

I have no clue how he will do but I watched his acceptance speech, and he seemed sincere and dam he was humble and then got fired up.......that part I liked, and if all the baggage is behind him then cool and hope he does what he says.....................what a strange thing, he actually admits to his mistakes without cover ups and lies, what a novel concept

the issue I have with him is that Idk what else might be out there

if something crazy were to come out right before the election for example, he’d be toast

no other Dem in the race was capable of meeting the moment tho…he was a nobody to start out and rose to a point where he beat them all so badly in the primary it was basically a blowout

Platner is the only one who had the message that resonates with voters

I'm sure there are plenty who could have been a better choice. Sad state when you have to choose between a really old candidate and a candidate who has so much baggage.

well there wasn’t…these better choices didn’t exist

you’re acting like the Democrat party propped him up and spent all this money on his campaign

the rest of the field was so bad that despite all of his controversies, the primary wasn’t even close…he beat Janet Mills by 53 points and the 3rd place finisher by 64 points

Maine Democrats must suck when it comes to folks who could lead without being geriatric or folks with a lot of baggage ridden as the only ones running for office. So sad that those are their choices

As long as Platner beats collins and doesn't pull a fetterman, it's all good.

Democrats get too idealistic for their own good.

The Dems need to get ready to get down and dirty, they will try and steal the next election and the need to be one step ahead of the maga ways which is to lie cheat and steal. Michelle Obama is and was my fav first lady but now is not the time to go high when they go low..............oh hell no, we need to be ready for every kick in the nads and respond in kind

I had to LOL when Kelly Ann was on fox talking about Platner and how can the Dems let him run with all the lies and baggage......I had to do a double take, I thought she was talking about her wanna be king
