The way Sengun gets judged in the hard jobs vs the way Reed and Jabari get judged entirely on the form of their jump shots is insane.

If Reed or Jabari have the ball for more than 2 seconds Marcus Smart just walks over and takes it from them.

He is very clearly more than just a roleplayer, he is a 2x All-Star, and in the right situation with the right coach and right roster he could be a #2 option. It's just that he is not a #1 option and at this point odds are he never will be, and even as a #2 option, he is hard to fit onto a contender unless/until he becomes a passable jump shooter.

Sengun plays Center, he will be judged differently.....as the anchor......of a team.

He is just not good enough on defense, and not efficient enough on offense.

IF he got a 3pt shot and then shot 75% on his FTs sure, but he regressed last year.

And I agree @OremLK he might be a number 2 option, but his limitations on D are real.

The Rockets drafted weaker athletes with great looking 3 point shots at pick 3.

They are losing because they drafted weaker athletes with great looking 3 point shots at pick 3.

The shot of seratonin released into the brain of the observer after Jabari or Reed make a 3 and the feelings that induces has set us back enough.

We’re not trading a 23 year old Allstar that is +30 in the playoffs, so we can build around the 22 year olds with below average athletic traits for their position, that are -18 and -34 respectively in the playoffs because the aesthetics of their jump shot fires you up.

And, the whining...he's got to tone it way down.

Again though...a product of what he's been around..lack of proper guidance and coaching.

Eventually, Alperen will grow up...and clean up....

I really think he's going to turn into an amazing player.
Just don't think it'll be here.

    You've got the wrong guy.
I have no problem with ime calling him out for whining.
I most certainly do have a problem with Ime throwing everyone under the bus, all the time...to try to cover up his own incompetence.

On Sengun, some of it is the Euro in him...the basketball culture over there. And, it's been exacerbated here.

23 yo... as a big man, he's still like 3-4 years away from his real prime years.
