One of the things that made Shaq great was his physical presence exhausted defenses (and softened them up for Kobe to slice and dice down the stretch).

In post-game pressers, opponents talked about this a lot.

Wemby needs to get in the gym, get stronger, put on about 15 more pounds (all muscle) and give up on this fantasy of his being a 7”5’ point guard and just destroy all these dudes on the low block. However, I don’t think he has it in him to do this. So, just get guys who are physical and strong like Towns and Robinson and punish him for his thin frame.

That's a horrid call. I don't like Brunson but that is not a flagrant.

Yeah but buckets are buckets. In close playoff games it often comes down to who can get a bucket, no matter 2 or 3, and you knew that Shaq was going to get you a score if you gave him the ball because he's either getting fouled or he's getting 2 points...and when you're in a close game with 2 minutes left, it's a more sure thing to go to Shaq then rely on a perimeter player.

I'll also say...Center's can't go inside anymore. The low post is pretty much dead outside of a few players. It obviously still has value, as Jokic proves. I think the whole 3 or nothing mentality of the 'Curry' era is slowly giving way to a more balanced approach.

But most centers today just don't have a post up game. They might have a face up game before a low post game.

Anouby is one of those players who would be overpaid on most NBA teams, but as the third-best player on a winning team, he's worth every penny.

Victor's very high center of gravity and slender build will make it difficult for him to be a traditional post player. He won't gain all 15 lbs in his butt and legs. Banging will never be his primary thing unless Chet is the defender.

Best thing about this series so far is Wemby is being exposed as a dirty crybaby who lashes out when things don't go his way.

Dude had the best PR in the NBA prior to these playoffs and now his filthy bullshit is getting exposed. I'm so here for it

It is weird seeing the supposed shooting guard veteran defer to rookies and second year players. I remember when some of us were mad the Rockets didnt sign him lol

The Knicks are making Wemby look like Mark Eaton.
