If there's any way to get Jamal Murray for KD or maybe even for Sengun (in a three-team trade) I think I would try to do it.

KD straight up for Murray would be a no brainer for the Rockets in my opinion. where the rubber hits the road is the other parts included in the trade. Denver has no need for baby Jokic.

I would say for KD not Sengun. Because I cant see why Denver would want Sengun when they have Joker? I would trade KD for Murray in a NY minute. The issue is does it even matter when we have Ime as a coach.

IND out: Andrew Nembhard, Micah Potter

HOU out: Reed Sheppard, Clint Capela, FRP

Indiana gets a cheaper and younger backup PG/SG and solidifies their backup C position to help preserve the health of Zubac.

Houston gets a starting quality PG that can keep FVV’s minutes down. A natural successor that could/should actually push Fred to the bench on Day 1.

It’s a realistic proposal. I think Reed will be impeded with the return of FVV. Please come up with a useful Nets player for their 2027 1st round pick.

Yeah, that's why it'd have to be a three-team trade if it was Sengun (with Sengun going to a third team and something else going to Denver). I can see Denver being interested in KD but I think they might not want to give up Murray in the deal. I think he's better than a lot of fans realize and I think their front office does value him highly, despite his contract being so expensive. Maybe if we sweetened the pot with Reed Sheppard? Is Murray worth KD + Reed?

S&T Tari for Dillon Brooks??? It would take some draft capital but shouldn’t take a First Round Pick.

    FVV/Reed
    Amen/Brooks
    Bari/Okogie
    KD/DFS
    Sengun/Adams

All right, what if it was:

    HOU in
    Jamal Murray
    Jonas Valanciunas

    DEN in
    Giannis Antetokounmpo

    MIL in
    Alperen Sengun
    Fred VanVleet
Draft picks from Denver (maybe one not-great pick from us?)

You still have the "Amen with no stretch 5" problem but maybe you can make a follow-up trade? Still have plenty of assets to play with.

    Ends up:

    Murray/Reed
    Amen/Reed
    KD/Eason
    Jabari/Eason
    Adams/Valanciunas/Capela

Murray is an improved version of FVV .... I wouldn't mind him, especially keeping KD.

Do something with Tari and DFS as well as one of Adams / Capela in another deal for a real 2 guard and a stretch 5.

    Interesting.

Love the shooting. Defense not so much. Price tag is up there (not sure Tilman would want to pay taxes in 27-28). I'm very leery of Denver players as Jokic makes everything so easy for them. He had a good last season, but there was a good chuck of the season before that he looked horrible.

    Do love the shooting.

The not trusting a Denver player without Jokic would probably keep me from pulling the trigger.

If it was our own 28 pick, I probably do it. Nembhard is the better player right now, but Reed probably has the higher ceiling due to his shooting. Nembhard has the better NBA body and is already a very good defender. I think they are both combo guards not pure pg’s.

IMG_3754.jpeg Houston gets back a bit of what they gave up for KD. The 1st rounder they get is the #23 pick in this years draft. The Hawks have the #8 pick also so this makes it more palatable for them to throw in. Risacher is a salary dump who might be more useful elsewhere. Side note Jalen has been way more injury prone than KD has been.

Atlanta gets to try and ring chase for once. Getting KD on a young team with cap space allows them to go after someone else to pair with him. They could theoretically sign LeBron or make a move or two and be a contender for a couple of years. If it doesn’t work out they can bottom out as they control their own picks after the 28 draft. It also makes sense for them as this would be the draw that Atlanta has been missing since ‘Nique left.

I think it would take their 2027 1st round pick. It’s okay with me if they want the 2 second round picks from this draft as well. The return of Brooks should help the Rockets.

Raise the floor. I really like this idea a lot. Just great idea. Suns would benefit from it, too. They get a lot of potential for stardom.

To sign & trade Tari for Dillon, I would turn the PHX '27 pick into a swap (of the HOU, BKN, and PHX picks, PHX would get the second best).
