Did enough customers bring in their own coins so that there would eventually be a surplus of coins that would go to the bank or did the coins that you rolled stayed mostly within a Closed Loop for the ;aundromat?

    Yes.

I am trying to reconcile the amount of coins that you had to roll versus the coins used by customers in the equipment at the Laundromat.

If most customers were bringing in their own coins, then eventually your Grandmother would have rolls of coins to take from the business to cover expenses & profits.

If most customers brought in paper money and converted it on premises to coins for use in the machines, then she would eventually take paper money from the business to cover expenses & profits with the coins that you rolled going back to the Laundromat for conversion to paper money by future customers. Thus the coins would be in a Closed Loop of:

    1. Collect coins from the machines at the Laundromat
    2. Roll coins at the Kitchen Table
    3. Take coins back to the Laundromat

Debit card for everything. Even my yard crew has upgraded to Zelle.

I keep two $20's behind my drivers license (where my wife can't find it) for emergencies. Maybe a 10, a 5 and 5 1's in my wallet in case I buy something not worth putting on a card.

My FIL pays my kids to do work at his house and make extra money and he always pays them in cash. They come home and want to buy something online, give me cash and I buy it for them, then I go to the bank every Friday to deposit the cash.

It's getting to the point where cash is just kind of a pain in the ass. All the other payment methods are just so much easier.

My dad used to stop at Randall's to cash a check before we did anything lol....my mom would get so irritated with that!! :) My first job was at the Randall's down the street from where I grew up, and when I started working there one of the ladies said, "hey, you're 'the kid of the man who always comes in to cash checks, right?" :)

    Me too.
Most of the dispensaries here in NY make you pay in cash so they can get you on ATM fees which the owners of course own.

I usually place a quick bet on rainbet or packdraw and pay with that.
