The operative word in my post was “consistent”. Reed seems to have alot of great high but also some bad lows. The Rockets need consistent production from him long term. If he can’t at least provide that then it will be tough. It’s time for Reed to start realizing his potential.

I don’t think your take is unreasonable, and if Reed dowsnt deliver this next year you won’t hear me defend but he literally made the jump to 15ppg, is one of the leaders on this team in win shares and folks blame him for all our woes. The latter is what is annoying tbh
I don’t think reasonable fans blame Reed for all our woes. We have lots of issues. Reed, for now, is a valuable bench piece. FVV, Durant, Sengun, Ime, Amen and Stone are getting a lot more heat than Reed and rightfully so. Blaming a backup guard for last year’s disappointing season is really a stretch and only a few idiots have gone there. It all starts with the FO and our incompetent coach. It’s really hard to know what the do with the roster with the 3 stooges in charge.
I don’t care if Reed is better or worse than Castle but he needs to get his **** together and show the organization & fans we don’t need FVV after next season Harper has already shown the Spurs, and the whole nba community, that Fox needs to be moved to clear the way. Reed has us wanting FVV to return or trade for a PG. I think that’s the most disappointing part
Sheppard at 21 was better than Brunson at 24. I think only the dumbest among us are wanting FVV to return or to trade for a PG.
makes me sick to my stomach watching castle right now be a 2 way player. even if sheppard magically becomes an elite steve nash, he's still a bottom 5 defender in the league.
At what point is Stone held accountable for so many misses? Castle looks like a future star level player, it isnt just this move alone, hes missed on most picks and never landed a star. He needs to be replaced before the draft this summer.
Idk about the first part but agree about people wanting Fred back lol. I just want Reed to show there is no need for Fred starting or to be on this team like Harper has done Fox. It’s sad the off season hype is Fred returning. Idk. I guess I hate Fred so much I wish Reed would’ve stolen the starting position without question and made Fred expendable. Reed got them talking about another extension lol
castle is the 2nd best player on a finals team. this is his first finals. he has very obvious flaws, dumb turnovers and low IQ plays but he looks like a 10+ year starter on a contending team. we're lucky if reed is a solid 6th man.
LOL, now that's an embarrassing take. he's not even the 2nd best guard on his own team....hell, he's the 4th best guard on his own team. He's the guy the Spurs need to dump if they want to win.
I agree. Dude has been living off Whittus’ Sengun pick for 5 yrs. He busted on Jalen, but also compounded it by mismanaging Jalen’s development those first couple of yrs. Just stick him in the backcourt with KPJ…they’ll figure it out. Bari clearly not a #3 pick. Sure Amen. But the Reed over Castle pick doesn’t look good. Add to that: he’s missed on every later 1st round draft pick he’s made. Just not good enough. I still have some hope for Reed, but Castle was the better prospect. Our front office just isn’t very good.
Ehhhh I’ve seen stats calling KPJ the next Harden. I’m not saying he’s gonna be better than Castle. I just wish he would’ve made it look without question he should start over FVV but it was bad enough where people say we need Fred back and he’ll start over Reed without question
