So let's revisit the AL MVP race in 2019. Trout misses essentially the last month of the season, Bregman's numbers are right there up with his and they give the MVP to a player who's team loses 90 games. Fast forward to 2026. Judge is going to miss a similar amount of time and the numbers between Alvarez and Judge might be just as close as that 2019 race. So do they give it to Judge because he's on a winning team headed to the playoffs or to a deserving Alvarez on as losing team that missed the playoffs? It's rhetorical. They will indeed flip the script.
(We sure about that?, lol). I bet there’s an extension either during this season or in the off-season… Astro for life.
He is the only reason why I'm actively watching the games right now. Been forever since we had an Astro hitter going after a league high category (outside of batting average from Altuve, Brantley and Yuli).
