“Thank you for contacting the Tilman Fertitta owned Houston Rockets. We appreciate your concerns and/or opinions on the topic you contacted us about via email or social media.

Mr. Fertita is busy buying expensive handbags as an expression of gratitude to his various mistresses, but he is sorry he could not respond personally.

Please accept this voucher as an expression of the appreciation for your concern. Good for 24 hours, enjoy 5% off all 2025-2026 Houston Rockets jerseys.

We all can’t wait for another amazing Rockets take off lead by Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green and new Rocket Kevin Durant. So buckle in - Houston - THEY - have a problem!”

I figure more than half this team will be gone next year.

Yet if they run this back and everyone is healthy, and the team does well, you know this plan actually works.
Say in perfect scenario we get the 3rd seed, get pass Portland or some ****, take spurs or Okc to 7 games but lose? In 2nd rd?

Would you call this still a failure?

Of course they are in touch with their fanbase. They brought back ketchup and mustard.

Maybe one day this will be a realistic expectation but in reality, the organization is in tune with its board of directors. Everyone else is secondary and not a priority.

The only way to change this is large scale collective action from fans. However America is culturally individualistic by design so the likelihood of collectivizing successfully are slim to none. Only in the most dire situations will people stop buying/watching at large scale. That's the only thing that would make an organization meaningfully shift its behavior.

Even the concession stand is not in tune with fans lol as if y'all requested to pay a fortune for a hotdog.

Yet Stone who traded out of the best draft in yrs and missed on several draft picks, still sits as the GM after nearly a 30yr drought in the NBA Finals.

What draft??? Stone gave away our pick this year. Really can’t stand the ownership of this team. Stone hasn’t made a trade deadline move in five years. They truly don’t care about the fans and that is why the stadium is empty on most nights. We need a new owner who cares and doesn’t own 200+ other entities.

Outside of this forum, do the Rockets really even have that much of a fan base?

I guess Im just PISSED because one of our in state rivals is in the NBA FINALS after only spending 3yrs of tanking while we are going on our 7th to 8th yr of going through tanking and trying to get out of the first Round of the Playoffs.

And whats even more frustrating is our GM didn't have the foresight to see what talent would be available in this year's draft.....Isn't that why we have a SCOUTING DEPT?

BEFORE YOU MAKE A TRADE....CONSULT WITH YOUR SCOUTING DEPT TO SEE WHAT PLAYERS COULD PROBABLY BE AVAILBLE WITHIN THE NEXT 2YRS.

There is already talk that next yrs draft could be similar to the Reed Sheppard draft. It just seems like INEPTITUDE is running rampant through the organization

In tune with the fan base? I'm not even sure what that means. Some fans here understand the ball and/or the business just as well as paid professionals, while others need to take their shoes off to count to 20.

But I can tell you that the Rockets are not in tune with the league. Their offense is built for the 90s and you can't find one single reporter, analyst, or national broadcaster who agrees with what they're doing on that end. That means that Ime is either a genius far ahead of the curve or is completely self-absorbed and deluded - decide for yourself which is more likely.

Regarding the offense, Ime has been here 3yrs now and the team still doesnt have a true identity. The previous yr it was defense and rebounding, now I don't know. The offense has always been ancient, since Harden left.

However, this is more about interaction with the fan base. They just LAID AN EGG in back to back yrs. At least let the fans know that next yr is going to be better, different! Go on the 790am, 610am or 97.5FM and do interviews.

    1) Let the fans know you are working with your Scouting Dept to look for the best players in the Draft at your draft slots.
    2) Let the fans know that you're bringing in players for workouts. The Texans bring in players before the draft and they tell us who they are.
    3) Let the fans know your visions for next yr. How you plan to make things better.

It KILLS me when the Rocket reps call to sell these high A%$ tickets, yet the organization don't make you feel enamored with the team.

Even when Morey was the GM and all the Rockets had was Kyle Lowry, Scola and Chuck Hayes and everybody in the arena knew they weren't making the playoffs but Morey still kept you engaged and you knew w/o a doubt that Les Alexander was TRYING to win.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE IDIOTS ARE DOING

What an idiot? The Spurs have been rebuilding for 8 years and were rewarded by the corrupt NBA with Wemby and Harper. The Rockets tanked 4 years before recording 52 wins. At least do a little research before posting such an idiotic take.
