Offseason is simple to me, either pair Giannis with KD and gut the core, or ship KD off and keep it together...

Or run it back. Unfortunately that looks like the most likely scenario.

Our future is in Alpi and Amen’s hands. Those hands have to be better shooters or we’re hosed as constructed.

There are some Yaxel truthers out there, who are high on him. He might turn out solid with all the prep time he spent in college.

The current notable factoid is on his age. Comparing to the Rockets, Yaxel (Sept 2002) is older than Reed (2004), Jabari (may 2003), Amen (Jan 2003), and JD Davison (Oct 2002).

Worth a shot in the 2nd round. Better than whatever team wastes a good pick on Mara.

This is the type of guy we should be looking for in 2nd rd. He's got 4-years experience, champion, elite shooter who plays smart. A guy like this can immediately contribute off the bench to help spread the floor even though he has defensive limitations he'll hustle his butt off. He's projected around our #39 selection, but could go sooner. We need more shooters on our bench, if we can get a stretch 4/5 candidate here, then I'm all for it, but those guys will likely be gone in 1st.

2nd for sure, but he'll be long gone by then. His current mock is likely before #15 1st round

If the only thing they do this offseason is extend Tari, I'm going to be pissed. They need to undo the DFS experiment while they're at it and get us a quality back up point guard. After watching Brunson tonight, Reed Sheppard ain't it... smh

Porzingis was paid 31 mil a year and Jrue 33 mil a year to win a championship. That’s not cheap. It’s about acquiring stars. Both those guys have been stars and they’re not just solid vets. To win you need to acquire championship level players and you need to pay if you didn’t build your team thru the draft.

Sheppard will never be brunson lol that’s not his game. I still think he could be a solid player if he shoots more consistently, works on playing with contact and being savvy in the paint. And improving his passing/playmaking.

It was reported by SI that a Rockets insider recently told them that the plan has not changed and it is still reliant on running it back with FVV. They saud that we are not interested in acquiring Gia or any other significant piece as they truly believe FVV will be the missing piece. We got real morons running the team is all I can say.

This is correct, but they can’t take over if the coach is instructing them to defer to FVV and KD. By hanging on to the dinosaurs, we are losing productive development years for our true core. We will be fine in the regular season winning 50+ games, but the more astute fans will recognize it as the same “fools gold” as the last 2 years.
