I hope he helps some one else next season. I cant take another year of watching KD help lol If we're gonna be a first roudn exit it better be because we are developing young players.
We lost the second game with him…… he was a big reason why we lost cuz of his 9 freaking turnovers. Then he just decided to quit.
The Rockets lost their first 2 playoff games without him. Game 1 Game 3 "Undefeated without him" wasn't a very good predictor of success. As for the "quit" thing, either there's a massive Epstein level conspiracy or he really does have a bone bruise - I know which one I'm inclined to believe
We are a better team with KD playing. We just need to get him the ball in favorable spots and not depend on him to be the main facilitator. He can defend and makes shots. I hope he plays again this season.
I don't like this iteration of the Rockets but it's Looney tunes **** to pretend like this version of the Rockets, currently down 3-2 to a lottery caliber Lakers squad, is not *also* a lottery level team without Kevin Durant for 77 games
maybe cuz all season they practiced just giving him the ball instead of just playing basketball. What does it look like if we let our guys actually play? Reed went form barely playing to starting in playoffs and going 45 minutes. Like how is that gonna set him up for success. the worst game we played all series was game 2.
Was he injured in the first half when he scored 20 points? Or is he only conveniently injured when he sucks. Fact of matter is the chemistry is better with out him. I don’t know how yall don’t see it. Team may struggle some here and there but they play for each other and effort is there.
That would require a new coach and him to change his attitude. I do think he can help the team but not the way we currently utilize him and he needs to buy in and fit in with our guys not the other way around. If he was 25 sure give him the ball but he’s 37 and should not be our only offense
I ain't even mad. I said after the trade no matter what happened this season, I'd be happy knowing Failen Green's bum ass was traded and I'd never have to watch him in a Rockets uniform again. Even with the injury vs quitting argument, nothing has changed. I am so god damn happy I'm not watching the team cater to a woefully inept pathetic player at the detriment of players infinitely better than him. What a surprise so many Phoenix fans are already thinking the same putrid thoughts about Failen after only a single season LMFAO.
A young guy stepped up and took it to the best defender of this era last post season. But apparently the clowns on Clutchfans want to trade him because a coach spent an entire season putting him into situations to emphasize his weakness and never capitalize on his strengths.
they won 52 games last year also… how did he help them? Same record and less fun to watch, worse defensively. Hes a name that’s it.
^ you're actually citing the Rockets game 1 as a positive data point? Yes, sorry I disagree that 1 (or even game 3 where they sharted on themselves for an entire half + clutch time - overtime) was in any way positive. They were both disastrous losses against a mediocre Lakers team in the playoffs I know it sounds crazy but there's no way taking a 50-40-88 27ppg scorer out of your lineup and replacing him in the rotation by playing JaeSean Tate more is going to - over the course of 82 games+ playoffs- end well for you (which is why you have shortened your sample size to 2 games) The Rockets offensive output last night was pretty shitty, they survived because the Lakers didn't make as many shots as earlier in the series... that's just randomness for the most part, but they really shouldn't have lost any of the first 3 games even with that luck.
