Your definition of reach is off

they haven’t been wrong on defense - and we already seen that sometimes Names don’t work out with SGJ - left here and looked great in Chicago - Demeco system is all about discipline

He's the #11/12 safety on the board with 3 others rated higher on virtually all boards. Again, hope he knows what he's doing. The past four picks he's gone deeper than many boards would suggest so I hope we're getting the value for our selections. Rooting for these guys to all work out, but definitely some questions since the 3rd round.

This is an intriguing pick. He is pretty strong in coverage as either a safety or nickel. Actually has great instincts at defending the run, but missed a lot of tackles. Not something you normally would expect from a player the Texans draft, but I'm guessing they think the tackling issues are correctable. If not, you essentially can hide him in a 2 high look on 1st and 2nd down, and in those 3rd and longs, he should thrive. Feels like the Woodaz and Ramsey picks are complementary to the idea of improving the ability to cover in obvious passing downs that we are shooting for, especially with the Kayden McDonald pick giving us more of those 2nd/3rd and longs.

No young rb in our group. =( And one will get a mysterious injury. Houston life.

Love the Ramsey pick. He should have been drafted 3 rounds ago by some other team. The Mcdonald and Ramsey picks definitely my faves.

Lol. Dude was a top 10 safety in the draft by most analysts Most mocks I saw had him going late 3rd or early 4th at the latest.
There have been reaches, but he wasn't one of them. And complaining about a "reach" in the 5th round is crazy to begin with.

No kidding, my gosh. Even going by these BIG boards so many like to think are set in stone with their rankings, have him pretty high on the list

Why would we draft a good promising young running back in the first 4 rounds when we can always use top picks another year for rbs with more wear, tear, and tread, experience, and bigger salaries in the future? Don't be silly. Some guy called me braindead for thinking that way. :p

His scouting reports note a concern of “want to” which is not what you’d want to hear. Hopefully being a member of this defense locks in that focus. Sounds like he’s very polarizing like he can be good when in positioned and locked in but can drift if not focused.

Just like Kayden McDonald's scouting reports has phrases like, 'Bad habit, bull rush or bust. When that does not work, motor runs a little cold and he kind of stands there looking for something else to do,' which is not what you want to hear.

Weakness are weakness - they all have them when you need to put something down
