Seems like another pick Nick saying he’s smarter than everyone else. I’m only saying this because Ive never heard of woodaz…..this time.
Our defense was not our biggest weakness. We did pick early picks for defense. It's the running game they scoff off as unimportant.
Hopefully they get a running back 1st pick 5th round. Learn from the Pierce situation and don't depend on Marks to be better. Take precaution and draft another impact running back.
This feels like the draft we will look back and remember as the "reach draft" where we got too cute at times. I know they like Randall, but I hope they still consider a guy like Singleton too. We need a weapon with one of these final two picks. We cannot go into the season hoping we don't have any injuries. We saw what happens there last year and it's a big bet on Tank to Schultz to otherwise contribute.
Re: Washington, there's a reason a guy with 1st round measurables is still sitting there in the 4th. Don't know what is but there's gotta be something. I know he put the ball on the ground a lot.
Over react much? After the TE pick, who cares? There are 3 phases, O, D, S. If this guy pans out for kickoffs and punts.... Besides, the RB that some here seem to think was the one was picked just before. That's life. At this point, its all about backup and special teams. Remember, what they see is not what is available online.
Where have they not prioritized adding a quality rushing game? Literally gave up a 3rd and 5th for an elite HB. Forked out big free agent money on Smith, Engram, Teller and T. Brown. And every pick in this draft outside of McDonald and Woodaz was done with improving the running game in mind.
Remember, what they see as a quality rushing game and depth has been average at best. Remember, it was our offense that suc*ed last year, not our defense.
Not in love with the pick, but I understand it. Coverage LB, vocal leader, special teams contributor. Suspect he will provide some snaps on obvious passing downs.
Yeah, I think their opinion is that the RBs aren't the problem, but the run blocking is.That's what these picks seem to be for me and I think when it comes to the position, we have two good RBs, that's really all you need, the 3rd and 4th guys are just replacements or coming in to do specific things on specific plays any ways.
I'm fine with the Woodaz pick, even though I did like Washington but his ball security was a red flag.
I understand why people want a RB, but freakin' British Brooks gave us a quality start last year off the practice squad. I don't think it was a priority, especially in such a weak RB class. We probably can offer the top UDFA a good opportunity to compete if we don't end up drafting one. Still quite a few guys that fit the mold of being hard-nosed on the board.
