So justify why we'd all of a sudden start giving out unjustified contracts, when we've already managed to retain people at great discounts so far? If Amen can maintain last night's level of production then I'm absolutely all-for giving him a supermax, but he needs to prove it first. There's a select few in here digging their heels that Amen just cant become that. Like if you stuck Amen's motor or heart inside of Evan Mobley he would be a Top 5 player already. But he's just a guy just like Scottie Barnes is just a guy. Amen is more than "just a guy" and there are a few posters who really really really struggle with accepting that. He has stuff he needs to work on and this entire year has been a work in progress but unlike other players where you see leaps at the beginning of the year due to offseason training, Amen is weird in that he seems to adapt *mid season* and he's been doing it since his rookie year which we all forget looked rough as hell to start.

I'm glad he's starting to be a little more selfish and take those shots he would pass up before. We need more of that because it will open up the game for everyone else. Another offseason of shooting practice is due and hopes that his 3 ball becomes respectable next year entering his physical prime. If he and Reed take steps forward then we are finally cooking with gas next year. Hoped itd be this year but 52 wins in a development year is pretty good.
