He's going to get solid minutes. ~20min with a range of 15-30 depending on how he's playing.

Not a racist. Habits dictate behavior under stress. Defense is in his habitual dna.

I really think you are overreacting a bit.

Reed currently has the 60th most minutes played in the nba, 56th most if you take off Jabari/Sengun/Durant/Thompson. Which means there are only a total of 55 players in the nba that got more minutes than Reed. That is a lot of good experience that makes up a bit for last year.

If you take 8 man lineups of 30 teams that is 240 players. That is exactly the .25 or top 25% of minutes played. That is all things considered a lot of minutes for the 5-6th best team in the nba.

I wish you would really take those numbers into consideration. Truly think with considering all of the above just how many minutes do you think he should be getting? Top 30-40?? Even higher?? I think that is asking a lot in my opinion.

Reed Sheppard may not be in the playoff rotation judging the last couple of games. Brace yourself Clutchfans.

Literally all of us called it while Udoka nuthuggers keep gaslighting

Playing less minutes than Aaron Holiday after helping us turn it around at great efficiency these last 15 gsmes

@J.R. Can make his lame ass memes when Sheppard gets back in th game for a random 3 minutes in the 2nd half so it’s all good . Dudes so edgy and cool

Hit 5 straight points , played great and gets yanked for Tate

For literally no fcking reason. The sabotage job is out there in plain sight he is doing everything he can to kill his confidence so he doesn’t have to play him .

I hope I'm wrong, but I could see Reed requesting a trade this off-season.

Let’s not reduce anyone’s view to dumbass names we used in 5th grade.

Having differing views and angles on coaching doesn’t mean I am what you accuse me of. I see coaching different than you and the mob of “fans” that continue to demonize and put the blame on one guy without any substantiating facts or evidence behind their attacks. Constant complaining, whining, and name calling that mainly revolves around Udoka not playing one player. Your lack of detail in your whining and ranting shows your ignorance of coaching and basketball plays.

    Maybe just maybe
    This is coming from management
So they don’t have to pay him when he is due
    Just a theory
Or Ime is a hater and doesn’t like him

As I said they’re playing him to develop him on a team built to win now. They knew he would struggle and make mistakes and I think they wanted to see what he can do. And he showed them he is a capable shooter that can hit some big shots or get some key timely drives.

The reality is he’s a young inexperienced guy with defensive issues and inconsistencies on offense. But he has a lot pf promise as he has shown. That’s where we are. That’s what Sheppard is now.

Reasonable take. Won’t get a lot of traction on casualsoverrractfans.net but I see you.

Had the thought recently while he's been getting starts, this is basically his rookie season. Redshirted a year, this season has been a solid rotation player and borderline role player recently, albeit pressed into duty due to injuries more than his own progress.

I don't mind the conservative progression here, honestly it's the right way to do it. Putting the weight of hyped expectations on a guy who is still getting carded for buying a 6 pack is how expectations are not met. Okogie has been the good soldier for us, getting him and Holiday some run before the playoffs isn't the worst idea. Okogie especially. I really hope they're able to retain him this offseason but I believe that's coming after an honest review of DFS.

I think it is good and right to keep Reed as a rotation piece for this playoffs. Keep the weight of expectations and potential failures off of him before a very important offseason, keep him in a position that is basically only going to look good (provided he shoots well). Even if he oh-fers a game or two, which seems likely, 0-4 is way better than a 2-10 where he plays 30 minutes and gets toasted by a playoff offense.

I'm curious about next season though. Argue about Amen's potential earnings all you like, the Rockets are keeping him. Fred isn't going anywhere as long as Udoka is here and Udoka isn't going anywhere next season. With a strong offseason program, I think next season you see Reed Sheppard upgraded to a full blown role player instead of bench/rotation level. Possibly even a push for 6MOTY, and with that maybe the development that he's surpassed Fred and eyeing that starter position.

And then you zoom out a little and say you had a 19 year old shooter 3rd overall in a bad draft who took 3 seasons to develop his body, game, defense, etc. to be a potential starter? I mean, is it that crazy? Is it racist? Is it unheard of?

I think people are a little wound up, and doing the "social media is poisoning our society" thing with our roster.

It’s not that he doesn’t play one player. It’s that he has blatant double standards and is a hypocrite.

For example- he gets LIVID at sengun taking a 3 and bricking, telling him to gtfo of the court, but tari eason, who is a 20% midrange shooter (worse than sengun is at 3s), a 20% driver, constantly turns the ball over, etc makes the exact same minutes and he doesn’t care or bench him for this. It’s the blatant double standards. Not to mention starting eason inspite it clearly making the team far worse over Okogie or reed.

Of course, he's probably not banging Sengun's mom. Not sure the same goes for Tari considering how many times he's allowed to brick non stop, miss open layups, ruin fast breaks, and generally **** up by being dumb as a brick.
