How evil of a individual do you have to be to send young boys to fight a war in the middle east and then take away their homes when they return? Seriously what the ****

The new Army Chief of Staff will be the current Vice Chief who was also the prime military aide to Hegseth and is a former head of the 82nd Airborne. He's a guy who thinks the 82nd can do anything and has a bit of a psycho rep.

Anyway, the real question is why the Chief was fired? Did he bring some reality to the Iran War discussion?

I've read a couple of quotes that make me think he wasn't enthusiastic enough about Hegseth's new 'roid rage-based be-a-tough-guy "warfighter" Army ethos he's trying to instill. Like, he didn't tear his shirt off and smash an empty beer can on his head often enough for Kegsbreath.

"Dude with a bit of a psycho rep" seems to be exactly what the SecDef is looking for from "his" Army.

Inside Trump's Search for a Way Out of the Iran War

The Administration now faces an acrobatic challenge: finding an off-ramp without appearing to have achieved too little.
Engineering a successor regime that is more stable and Western-friendly than the one he aims to displace is proving trickier
than Trump thought it would. The war has come to resemble a grim game of whack-a-mole, as one Administration official describes it,
with strikes eliminating successive leaders as officials search for a viable alternative to emerge from the wreckage.

Independent analysts say reopening the strait would likely require either a sustained military occupation with U.S. boots on the ground
or a negotiated end to hostilities. Neither path is simple.

How the war may shape November's elections—and what those results will mean for the rest of his presidency—is a question
    that hangs over Trump’s decisions.

In private discussions, he often points out that the party in power tends to lose ground in the midterms. “He’s having trouble
getting past the history,” an aide observes. But history also suggests there can be worse outcomes for a President who
takes the nation to war than losing an election.

Whiskey Pete has already fired or sidelined more than a dozen admirals or generals, all of whom have far far more leadership experience on the battlefields than him. He probably just wants men like Trump and himself who don't believe in following those stupid international laws of war. Maybe that chosen replacement shares Hegseth's disturbing mindset of no quarter no mercy upon Iranians, willing to put a bunch of ground forces into an extremely risky and dangerous mission, against forces threatening to reign fire upon them if they attack.

After The Great Purge, where he fired (and often executed) anybody in the Soviet Army who wasn't deemed sufficiently loyal, Stalin decided to punch down on his neighbors in Finland, thinking it'd be an easy win.

They got their @ss handed to them by the Fins, precisely because everybody with real military knowledge, experience, and talent had been show the door in favor of people with no experience or talent in running military units, who's only qualification was extreme loyalty to the man at the top.

Purging the military using loyalty tests should be the most obvious blunder a military could make. But I'm guessing neither Trump nor Hegseth could really tell you the first thing about what happened in the Winter War, or if they even could identify where it occurred.

You need competent experienced military leaders to run the largest, most complex and technically demanding military in the history of the world. Duh. You don't really need rage fueled berzerker frat bros so much anymore since the advent of guns. This purging is just more of the same old Trump narcissism where he doesn't need experts and he doesn't need to read anything or do any work - he's just such a natural savant that he doesn't even have to try at anything and he'll still win.

"The best lack all ambition, while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

Dunning-Kruger - the dumber you are, the more you overrate your own abilities, while the smarter you are, the more you underestimate them.

The admin didn't like this at all, when it was spoken.

“We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now, Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution,”

“Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear,”

“You can refuse illegal orders…you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”

If this is true, it's straight up the same thing as Russia has been doing in Ukraine. The Hague will be a busy place in the coming years.

This sounds like a terrorist threat to me....

The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again — Much more to follow! IT IS TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY! President DONALD J. TRUMP

He keeps threatening death and destruction if they won't give him what he wants. He sounds more like the other two war criminals Putin and Bibi every single day. We are the aggressor. There is no mistake about that. Trump is giving Iran and their supporters more and more reasons to seek revenge. All of this makes Americans much more of a threat of terrorist attacks in the future, thanks to our incompetent and psycho President and his yes men.
