Banks had surgery on the same foot that kept him out for most of 2025 in early March. Anticipated recovery time is 2-3 months.

Yep, he's a big boy and he looks like he can get penetration against some of the better teams. If he's being double-teamed that's gonna free up some of our guys to eat more. I'd definitely take a chance on him in 6th or 7th. Also, our ST Coach is gonna love him in the middle of his FG defense group.

hands, thick hips and thighs. He spent his entire four years at State College, starting 32 of 40 games he appeared in over the last three seasons. Of his 2,309 snaps, 1,879 were at left guard, 314 at right guard, and the remaining 32 scattered across the other three spots. The Junior was named first team All-American and first team All-Big Ten in 2025. Vega allowed only 3 sacks, 4 hits, and 28 hurries across his entire collegiate career.

    Measurements: 6'4 1/4", 320lbs. 32 3/4" arm length, 10 1/2" hands, 6'8 5/8" wingspan. 31.5" vertical, 8'8" broad.

    Strengths

Elite pass protector: Lightning-quick, powerful punch with vice-grip hand placement, and an anchor that simply doesn’t give ground. Vega only allowed 1 quarterback hit and zero sacks in the last two seasons combined (808 total snaps).

Nasty run blocker: Has the mentality to take his opponents soul. Finished plays with a nasty streak. While not the most nimble guard Ioane is a more than capable puller who gets to the second level on combos.

Power: Strong dude who also plays with overall great leverage at the point of attack in the run game, driving defenders off the line on down blocks.

Durability: Never missed significant action during his career.

High IQ: Diagnoses stunts, twists, and blitzes quickly and rarely gets caught out of position.

Leadership: Teammates and coaches rave about him.

    Weaknesses

Average lateral quickness: Can occasionally be caught flat footed against one-gap rushers who cross his face or use quick spins in space.

Functional but not dominant in true outside-zone schemes: Times on tape he was unable to gain outside leverage on reach blocks due to not having the footwork on more athletic guards.

Pad level occasionally rises off the snap: This would allow quicker defenders in the NFL to get under his hands.

Ioane's combination of versatility, durability, and dependance in both the run and pass game make him one of the safest picks in this years class. There are scouts who believe he is the best guard prospect since Quenton Nelson. A plug and play starter for any team, although definitely best suited to one that runs a lot of gap/power concepts. Ioane could play for a team using a zone blocking scheme, but to get the best out of him go with power. He will set a physical tone in the run game from day 1, and after a brief adjustment period (common for young players) he should prove himself as one of the best pass protecting guards in football also. He is a comfortably a top 20 pick in this years draft.

We going DT with our first pick unless someone they covet drops. I remember hearing BDN has a small fist round worthy grading system. Like 15 players get the first round grade from him on avg per draft.
Anyway, this is the draft we build for depth. Feel we might trade back if the Jets or Cards like Ty Simpson.

I support this... I think we're building for the future with depth picks (not looking for right now starters) in 2026.

Seeing a LOT of smoke how the Texans & Cards FO have work together in the past+ Cards are kicking tires on Ty

I fine with DT first pick unless we could somehow get Vega. We need that dude…

1.28 for 2.34 & 4.104 makes a ton of sense for each side. Id push for a '27 2nd or 3rd but that is essentially the deal that got GB Love a few drafts back. I think that extra cost controlled year if a QB hits is worth the future pick capital.

2.34 - Kayden McDonald or Christen Miller
2.38 - Blake Miller, Max Iheanachor or Emmanuel Pregnon
    2.59 - Gennings Dunker
    3.69 - Dani Dennis-Sutton
4.104 - Sam Roush or Oscar Delp
4.106 - Michael Trigg or Oscar Delp
5.167 - Jordan van den Berg
7.243 - Tyren Montgomery or Aaron Anderson

This draft totally solidifies the Oline and adds weapons at TE. I foresee the Texans using a lot more 12 personnel and Roush and Trigg (I suspect Delp to be gone) will take the reins from Moreau and Schultz in short order. McDonald or Miller are day 1 starters at DT and Dennis-Sutton and van den Berg see meaningful snaps off the pine in year 1. I wasnt able to add the LB and CB that I wanted to but I am pretty comfortable with the players I did get. Like all of us, there are a lot of potential UDFA that I think will help an NFL team and that is where I am getting a third RB to add to Montgomery and Marks (I like Dean Connors from Houston/Rice and Jamal Haynes from Georgia Tech specifically).

I want the best player available and if one of these is it, then do it.

The question to me is this: is Caserio drafting players who can help us reach the Super Bowl THIS year or are we going to use high-round picks on OL who will likely sit the bench as they're being developed? I believe that Caserio should draft players that will see the field THIS season and help us to reach the Super Bowl. That means fortifying the defense and getting more offensive weapons. To me, that rules out using high-round picks on OL. A dynamic TE threat and another quality WR should complete the offense.

this is what I want. I think AHJ will be a Superstar in the NFL. I think him coupled with WAJ and that nest in the NFL Secondary would be incredible.
I dug me some Texans Dunta Robinson back in the day. I’m all for South Carolina DBs that bring the hat.

And I like University of Texas Linebackers (looking at you Anthony Hill Jr.). I’m going to bang that drum until my stick breaks.
