The numbers don't work unless you include Sengun or Bari, and I would not trade any 2 of the 3 together for Giannis.
For you to bring this up at a time when there is talk of a Alpi for Giannas trade brewing, obviously this is a diversion to shift the talk of a trade elsewhere.....Trump has taught you well. Seriously, if Sengun had a 3pt shot I would say keep him. However, he doesn't, so Im torn about trading anyone for Giannas but we have KD now and his window is closing. So, they have to move someone and since Amen is our best player.....IT HAS TO BE SENGUN
Absolutely no. I am not even sure that I would trade Sengun straight up for him although I know the cap logistics don’t work. I’m just making the point that his game is predicated way, way too much on athleticism. he can go somewhere next year and give them a really good shot in the arm as far as a one or two year window, but our roster is not built out for him. he should go to San Antonio and push them over the top.
How many Antetokounmpos are out there? Athletic players always end up like this. Thinking about trading a guy with maybe a year or two left for young talent makes no sense.. Inactive Players MIL: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Alex Antetokounmpo
Actually it doesn’t cap wise. Durant’s cap is like 43, Giannis in the 50’s. And I’m so sure, the Bucks would do that trade! Maybe you were just trying to be funny. If so, sorry.
If Stone could land Giannis for KD and the corpse of DFS he may actually be the best GM in the league lol.
Would I trade Amen - Maybe, depends on the deal. It would have to be a big return. Would I trade Amen for Giannis? Hell no ... Old, injuries, expensive, can't shoot. I'm not sure there's a realistic deal that Milwaukee would accept that I would pull the trigger on - No Amen, No Sengun, No Durant even. No Reed and pieces. No draft picks. I'd rather use any resources to add the best primary ball handler / playmaker available .... What's funny is every time I think of what that players skillset looks like - It's a much more consistent / efficient version of Jalen Green.
Trading Amen and Sengün should have been seen as a Last Resort instead of actively rooting for it. I don't know what Stone is planning, or is he planning anything.....this is just very poor PR for the brand. This is basically holding a sign that says---- Dear Recruits/Prospects/future NBA players, you are not getting much here, you are basically on your own developing into the best version of yourselves...... We will trade you for an upgrade the first opportunity we get.
nope, wouldn't. it'd have only partially made sense if kd was 2 years younger. rather soft reset than trade the future for a short-term hypothetical conference final run. but this convo here once again shows how rocket fans overvalue amen (amazing player definitely, amazing kid) and at the same time undervalue alpi (nope, def not jokic potential). if someday soon we see alpi depart, kd moves on, and amen has to really take charge as the franchise player face and has to do what franchise players do every other night meanwhile the opponents start adapting to stop him omg i don't wanna see that future where this forum is blasting amen.
