yeah even in that 7th game when they were down 11 points KD played a lot of ISO and they were a little stagnant. They changed it up second half and pulled it out. Sadly

KD getting double teamed playing ISO ball should be a good problem to have. The problem is that the other players can't take advantage and make the other team pay.

Didn't San Antonio say they attack KD so much because the rest of the roster sucks?

The Nuggets arent running a bunch of motion offense but playing off the Jokic-Murray two man game. Rockets run a bit of it too with the combos of Reed/Sengun/Durant.

OKC doesn’t run some beautiful offense, it’s a bunch of SGA isos and read and react.

This…. We just aren’t beating teams 4 on 3 when they trap or double.

I think part of the reason why we haven’t gone away from it is because if the team can consistently figure it out, it will make the offense much better.

    I think the issue is:

-no pg to exploit high screen and roll or coming of DHO’s. These actions draw defender attention and Durant can roam offball and benefit from those kickouts. Our guards aren’t skilled enough to consistently play high screen and roll or improvise off a DHO

-poor shooting. For some reason just can’t hit open shots created from doubles

-Sengun and Thompson are limited. Neither can shoot greater than 12 ft. Everything has to be in the paint or a drive with them. This limits their scoring. Sengun gets a pass to the wing does a pump fake then drives. Amen misses wing and corner threes or has to drive.

I agree. As I said before it comes down to talent. Den and OKC have guys that can both drive and shoot or really good shooters and they make their open shots. Braun, Gordon, Murray, Watson for DEN. Wallace, Caruso, Williams, Wiggins, joe.

Who do we have? Shooting wise Sheppard is inconsistent. Eason has disappeared. Jabari is up and down. Amen can’t shoot. And none of our guys are good at driving or handling. Sheppard may be the better handler but can’t get in the paint.

Man, I don't think that is the issue. We need 1 on 1 plays at times because you have to beat your man to create mismatches. The issue is that he's turning the ball over, he's 37 years old and doesn't have clean handles like he use to so where he begins to panic. Then he makes poor decisions that compounds the issue. Lastly, he and Sengun are a negative on defense. They are not switching, making good decisions, getting beaten one-on-one, not flashing or attempting to cover outside shots or even box out. Lastly, I am not sure what happened to Tard Eason but damn he has regressed on both ends. The dumb fouls, getting beat off the dribble, turn the ball over, forcing shots like he's a superstar. This dude is horrible. Udoka primary fault is starting this dude. Jabari is too soft and inconsistent.

His style is complementary but not a system.

That’s why the vanvleet and adams injuries sucks is because FVv-adams-sengun was our offensive system (SengunPnr, Adams rebounds, Vanvleet turnover suppression)

Which is why Ime and his wing fetish ruined the season by missing out on MIP NAW and chose an injured corpse of a finney smith instead

Durant is just not good at passing out of the double team.

Meh. We took a very good Golden State team 7 games inspite having a horrible shooting guard who didn’t step up more than once last season. Think this team with healthy/non injured (post injuries dont count- FVV and adams won’t be the same) FVV and adams would be a second or third seed rn and confidently beating up teams.
