It's funny, his contorl has been both amazing and bad. Bad for the walks, but his strikes aren't right down the middle like Burrows was (I have faith Burrows will fix it), his strikes are hitting corners.
I don't think this is going to be a long term issue, I'm guessing it's just nerves. He definitely has the "Stuff" to be great. Just can't have a big inning against us. Can we please go talk to him?
I think it's just nerves. It's obviously not a great excuse, the walks destroyed him. He would have pitched Soler and others completely different had those other guys not been on from the horrible walks. I think he will bounce back and have a great year. Angels aren't in a good situation either, so hopefully our bullpen can out bullpen them.
Both Imai and Burrows could struggle or be inconsistent for a handful of starts as they are still getting to know the catchers.
