Coaching and reffing. We can't control the one as it is rigged, but we can definitely hold Ime accountable for not playing Reed when it mattered.
Ime Udoka on whether he’d consider putting in Reed Sheppard down three needing a three: “Not right now. If ever.”
To be fair, this game was squandered away in the 3rd quarter. No ball movement, people jacking up 3s, and turnovers. The only competent person, that looks comfortable bringing the ball up the court, is JD Davison on this team. Offense is always damn near 8 seconds in the hole every offensive possession. This is because the people who are playing PG are getting pressured. That forces them to have KD and Alpi bring the ball up the court. Reed needs get better at on the ball pressure, as well as Amen.
Those can be fair points… But you’re down by 3 Tate Amen Senguin are not going to hit a 3 over a guy that hit 6 of them. That is blatantly throwing the game
I still don't get why Alpe was: A) On the floor to begin with B) Not setting an off ball pick to get a shooter open C) Not taking the inbounds because he's probably our best passer D) Running towards the ball like he was the one who was going to hit a game tying 3 None of it makes any ****ing sense.
I never hate a coach more than this guy. Silas waa never meant to win, this dude is supposed to teach us to be contenters…
Oh no excuse for that. Not arguing with that point. Coaching at the end of the game for that last shot was horrible!
I’m an Udoka guy, but, yeah, there really is no defending that. I’m baffled at what he was thinking there.
I've been a huge Udoka supporter, but there has been some unacceptable in-game coaching this year. At some point X's and O's matter. Schemes matter. Adjustments matter. Putting your players in position to play to their strengths matter. I loved the culture shift when he got here (along with FVV and Dillon). But I seriously have doubts about his ability to get us to the next level, and I hate that...but that's the way it seems. Just so f'ing frustrated right now.
i mean you can't expect sudoku to reveal his hand for 1 regular season game right? saving somma that surprise for the playoffs. it was a tactical sacrifice.
I’m starting to as well. I’m usually a enternal optimist. The last play of the game is unexplainable. What’s the point of at the end of every quarter 1st 2nd 3rd, always doing defensive and offensive substitutions? If Reed had shot 2 of 7 or something I guess a bit more feasible. But he deserved to be out there as an option.
