[HBO Series] A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (GOT Prequel Series)

I like it so far... can't wait to watch episode 4.

Just a nice change of pace from the GOT universe....

Yep, it's a good show.

I can understand book readers being upset with Martin, but I could not care less.

 

I don’t know. Timman is probably the one to ask.

 

I bet The Daily Caller or Angel Studios has a movie that'd be much more your speed.

The show is told from the perspective of a destitute homless guy and most of the story thusfar is about the poor downtroden man getting s**t on by the uncaring, selfish wealthy elites who only give lip service to the moral imperatives they talk so much about, so it might offend your sensibilities. Kind of pinko commie stuff.

The one rich guy in the show who has character and isn't a selfish douchebag is about to die, further cementing it more of a class conflict story about how bad the rich are.

They do drop a couple of sick burns on the immigrants (Targaryans) coming to take our jerbs, and none of the main characters are female or brown, so maybe.

I'm gonna try the first episode... It's not Netflix so it can't be that bad....

 

There's a bit more male nudity and watching things take a **** than I'd prefer, but 4 episodes in, it's good.

 

It literally has a white night, white nighting for a brown girl. So, the Trumplings should probably avoid it like a vaccine.

 

...and the bad guys are a bunch of lily-white inbreds, which may hit too close to home.

 

So far the show is really good. The plot twist on ep 3 was pretty damn awesome. The plot twist on ep 4 was even better.

 

Rich people, being rich people, historically made some pretty bizarre impractical helmets in the name of peacocking. This one belonged to Henry VIII.



It is interesting to me how much the helmet in show evokes the Night King for me, but maybe that's just pareidolia.

 

Intimidation is a factor though. Sometimes it's worth sacrificing a bit of practicality if it can throw your opponent off their game.

The dragon shtick would be one of those times.

 

i will watch it once all the seasons come out. i am not going to watch, forget the story, rewatch, forget the story...oh season 2 is here.
