I'm not implying it, I'm flat out stating it. Him and the other fringe level all stars got no court time last year. Hopefully he gets a chance to show out and over the next few years the "fringe" becomes "perennial."

Should have been an all star earlier in the week. Advija didn't have to do the usual wait a season after you blow up so that complicated things. Phenomenal season by Advi and a trade deadline wishlist entry in 24'. Yesterday, OKC really tried to copycat what the hornets and Celtics did, by camping the help more than 3 secs under the basket waiting for Sengun's spin. Backfired with the 8 assists in the 1st half and an illegal defense. Disappointed that he just gave up in attacking when Hornets did that. More teams are going to attempt to try it
Finally a good performance from Alpi vs OKC after very poor games vs the Celtics and the Hornets. When his mind is clear, he gets going. Keep it up.
I would rather him not be an all star and rest that ankle plus him being slighted might light a fire under his ass since he has not played well lately.
True, but Sengun CAN and SHOULD do better than that. He's regressed this year on D. Year 5, he still opens his hips, a fundamental mistake. Also, we know from his Offense that he can move his feet much faster than that. The effort is just not there. Having said that, the team defensive coherence has been terrible all year. They are like headless chicken, nobody knows where to go, who to cover for, how and where to rotate, etc. It's clear to me that our high D rating past couple of years was all FVV and none of it is Ime's credit. Fred knew how to organize the team on D, communicate, tell everyone where to go, how to rotate, when to switch, when to drop, etc. You're absolutely right, EVERYONE gets cooked in the NBA all the time. It's not just Gobert, look carefully at our celebrated Amen, he gets beat all the time. The key is to have a coherent team defense and channel the driver to the help. NBA defence is a team concept, five guys on a string. This team is five randos running around like headless chicken.
Despite that shtty coaches and despite the bricklayers that guy has broken record after record, all the legendary centers are praise about him, but the experts here have positioned him in such a way that you'd think he's a terrible basketball player. If you're going to sniff glue, at least choose a good brand. Cheap brands cause brain damage, and then we have to deal with it here.
Cade, Barnes and Alpi are now the only players from the 21 draft to have multiple all star appearances. The only other all stars are Mobley (last year) and Jalen Johnson this year.
