Yes. team is completely discombobulated on D. There is no communication, no coherence whatsoever. I am thinking that FVV and/or Adams were super-important in organizing the D. It wasnt Ime, it was FVV (and Adams to a lesser degree). Now we have KD who has never been a communicator or floor general on D, and a bunch of young dudes who are literally like headless chicken on D.

All of Tari's threes were wide open spot up attempts within the flow of the offense generated by the gravity of KD, Alpi, and Reed. And major credit to Tari because he capitalized. Same for Jabari.

Reed's job is much more difficult because he's learning PG in the NBA on the fly while also trying to create just about all of his shots off the dribble. I didn't have an issue with any of his shots except for that one lefty floater he tried to force over I-Hart and Chet which got blocked and led to a dunk in transition. He also made a bunch of high-level passes which led to easy buckets. Main issue was the silly turnovers, which I think he will fix with more experience.

Offense looked better, helped by a career night for Tari. Consistently getting spacing like that makes a big difference. It may be time to consider staggering Amen and Sengun as much as possible and have four shooters on the court the majority of the game

I think we still lose this game if SGA plays because OKC would have scored a lot better. However, their defense is still strong without him or J-Dub, and I'm glad we were actually able to put points on the board against them.

Lol. FVV has never ever been a teams defensive leader. Ever. Brooks was that guy for this team. He was the dog, the energy the and the defensive leader.

They shared the role. Fred was the X's and O's communicator, Dillon was all the things you said, the aggressor and the hype man

The season is naturally a roller coaster ride. If teams could treat Amen Thompson like Ben Simmons and just not play defense on him, they would have done so from the beginning of the season, or the middle of last year even. This is not a new development, Amen's confidence is just in the gutter, the way Jabari's was 3-4wks ago. He's laserbeaming jump shots worse than T-Mac at his worst. Just like Jabari, he'll work through it and make teams pay once again. He just needs to keep shooting and driving to the hoop with the aggression he had in November and December. It's not a Ben Simmons situation, because he shot 40% from the left corner three last year, and he's shown an ability to improve his shooting, going 68%->68%->78% on FT's his first three years in the league. And once teams know they can't completely ignore his offense when he's on the ball, this gimmick defense will go away.

(Except for San Antonio who can keep doing it forever because their center is an alien who will break basketball **if he can stay healthy for most games of the year**. Dear Wemby, Lu Dort is gonna come for your feet.)
