Ausar is also playing 12 minutes less per game.

 

I'm imagining what it would look like if we had traded for a proven NBA rotation guard- like Dosunmu, Coby White or Ty Jerome. We would have a solid shot at the 2 seed and a great chance at the 2nd round. Those are still possible but significantly less likely after sitting out the trade deadline.

Rockets including Sheppard and KD made a lot of dumb plays. Would have lost if they had SGA or Williams. Just can’t keep playing like this

 

Amen should be Sengun's backup. I know it won't happen, but that would be his best role on this team. Ime gives the ball to Sengun at the top of the key and then lets him bump & grind his way into the paint. Amen could get the ball in the same spot, but use his speed instead to head downhill and draw in defenders. Since Amen is an excellent defender and we have a lot of length in the front court otherwise, I think he could thrive as a small-ball center. But unfortunately he's been awarded the role of star and been given infinite minutes, so he has to overlap with Sengun even though they don't fit.

 

Amen is shooitng 80% at the line there is no reason why he cant hit that middie. i agree.

That's why this coaching staff is so infuriating. I used to think @Downtown Sniper was exagerating but they really do play players to their weaknesses instead of strengths

 

yeah changes need to be made. I would play capela tate and JD more. Less Reed and Okogie. Maybe thinking of moving Amen to 6th man to surround Sengun with 4 shooters

 

The Thunder were without SGA and Jalen Williams. It was still a really nice win. Alpi was terrific and Tari and Jabari both were impactful. We basically just played 6 guys because Amen wasn't available. Our best bench player was JD Davison. When both teams are full strength, we will have a lot of difficultly beating the Thunder.

 

JD deserves more playing time. He had a good game and the team played well when he was on the floor. He was +16 for the game.

Also just shows how crazy it is they havent moved for a even OK point guard since FVV went down.

 

We just need another guard in the rotation. I'd like to see Chris Paul on this squad. He would tell Ime what they should be doing on offense.
