Durant claims he's 6'11 when he's likely 7' to avoid playing center.

 

I’m not seeing the correlation

 

Don't take this too seriously.

The joke was, Durant taking an inch or two off wouldn't be surprising.

 

If we are scoring Reeds defense on a scale of 1 to 100 I’d give him a -45. This guy might be the worst nba defender in nba history.

Like Harden was a better defender the years where he literally did nothing but hang out in the post on D. And it isn’t just his size. The guy is a complete bone head and misses rotations constantly.

 

I don't think we are watching the same game (I did miss the first half though), we are seeing missed rotations and he is def guilty of a couple but its not jumping out more to me than other guys

I'll say it again, Reed has won us 6-7 games on his own this year and that is pretty much impossible if we take your hyperbole of his defensive woes (the numbers argue strongly against you so I would not just rely on eye test--his lapses look worse because he's a slow sturdy dude)

My issue with Reed is on offense he has been absolute dog ****, has been scared to shoot and is timid

That's a death sentence

 

He deserves his props today. Nice game but most importantly an efficient one from the field too

Reed is like Two Face in Batman, he makes some horrible decisions on Defense and some brilliant ones....he just needs to play through it.

He has def won games but its inspite of his D not because of it. When Reed is ON he can def win games with his shooting problem is he hasnt been shooting well after those first 17 games.

 

1/4 from 3 is still a major concern and he was the only negative among the starters. If JD didnt break out and shoot 2/4 from 3 we would have a loss.

Reed had that game sealing steal but I guess people forgot he also had that turnover that resulted in 6 pt swing.

I think that he had his shoulders a bit inwards at the measure and also was hooping the night before with little sleep so he lost about an inch since spine expands with more sleep. I think Reed was afraid of being drafted #1 and tried to tank his value, he wanted to come to the rockets all along by negging himself a bit

I'm sure with airmaxes dude would be 6'4" on the court (maybe we can start a gofundme)

 

I think he’s that bad at defense and a scared bonehead of a ball handler.

However I think that have to play him and I’ve been saying since the start of the season he probably needs to start.

I think what’s becoming more and more clear is that Amen and Sengun will probably need to break up at some point if neither of them learn how to shoot. I love both but you just cannot compete in the nba with two guys in your starting lineup that cannot shoot.

I think it’s a big reason why Reed has struggled too on offense. You put your best perimeter defender on him when he’s out there because the other team knows how he’s the only guy who can get hot and how that dynamic can be what spurns a big run.

Love or hate it this is still a Moreyball NBA and you must be able to shoot the 3 to win game more easily.

 

Did you not see his steals on Wallace and Chet there at the end. Bad game to crap on his D.

 

Reed should utilize that defensive team will run him off the line to block his three point attempts. He should just focus on shooting mid range until he gets his touches back, not comparing to Steph but when Curry goes on shooting slump he just do pump fake and drive in for middy, layup or kick out. There’s multiple instances where Curry didn’t took threes for week because he was just off or defender was walling him off when he wasn’t super star yet. There’s only two players in our team that can pump fake and opponent rather gamble on contesting instead of standing still and Reed is one of em.

Rockets are .800 when Reed starts. Clearly you can develop him and win at the same time.
