Same...I'm not even a Harden fan at all but he was probably closest singular attainable player that could have significantly increased the title odds this year.
James Harden brought Houston the best basketball games in 20 years. Show him some respects, you idiot coach and GM.
not only is Harden a much better option than Fred this season since Fred isn’t even playing, but he’s a 10x better option next year too since he’s a much better player worst comes to worst, you just guarantee Harden’s 40 mil next season and then move on after that…even at his age, he still gives you the production of a player worth 40 mil/yr FVV gives you MLE production when healthy, but we pay him much more than that
I hope this is a case of keeping every single bullet in the chamber for Giannis this summer rather stubbornness and pride... But even if that is the case, a Giannis-or-bust mentality is dangerous and irresponsible.
Harden wanted to come back and would fix our problems but we have interest LMAO!!. Just punting the season when we could have had Harden and KD playing at an elite level still and would fix our offensive problems. Joke of a front office
If somebody would have told me Holiday and FVV would both still be on the roster after the 2026 deadline, I would have slapped the **** out of them. Drafting Reed makes no sense if you're keeping all 3 stooges. They probably have the shortest backcourt rotation in this history of the NBA, with a star on the team who doesn't like playing with small pgs. And Amen's big ass plays like he was shipped from Africa for his defense and had to learn how to do everything else. OTE needs to be shut down. They have ex NBA players over there. Amen/Ausur are the best prospects they've had come out of that school and they can't shoot a middy.
I've been shilling Harden to HOU for like 3 months now, and to find out the whole time he wanted to come back but the FO didn't want to add a guy averaging 25 PPG 8 APG on good efficiency on a struggling team is mind boggling.
will fred even have the same quickness and be the same player when he comes back, he was already declining and had height issues as it was prior to the injury. I just dont know what to think of their decision Either way it is what it is
Of course Fred won't be the same, you don't improve after an injury like that lol. And he's already overweight. Yikes.
This goes back to original sin. Just like Morey's obsession with a Stretch 4 and couldn't get Love or Bosh but paid Ryno and wouldn't get off him until it was too late. I think Stone originally wanted Harden but Ime didn't so they chose the younger guy with a far weaker resume assuming that Harden was washed. They put everything on this BS idea of culture because FVV is THEIR guy. It gave them the cover of not really competing. I liked Dillon and he was FAR more valuable to the team and the "culture." When the Rockets signed FVV and Dillion they were the same sh1tty team until after the ASB when they played the way Ime wanted them to with Governor FVV and overrebounding for a team that couldn't shoot. The team played with the slowest pace to muck the game up and has the same win percentage up to now. NO improvement. Stone and Ime CANNOT admit that FVV was a massive mistake and that is the reason why they thumbed their nose at Harden. The good ole we'll get 'em next year BS.
No NBA team in history has been able to win a title with a worse defensive rating than 10th. Harden/Durant/Sengun can never finish top 10 defensively. Not even if they were coach by a trio of Thibs, Van Gundy and Udoka. Logically, acquiring Harden would be a 100% guarantee of not winning a title. Right now we are 5th on offense and 5th on defense so we actually have a chance. So essentially you guys are lobbying to acquire Harden, lose in the playoffs and then have the oldest team in the NBA on our hands. Congratulations moron. I can't believe how stupid this has gotten.
