Alperen Sengun is the Rockets' franchise player

just looked at the game thread and Reed is broken, Sengun doesn’t show effort, so on so on. It is ime and the whole coaching staff problem

 

If alp is a star you gotta stop making excuses for him.. do you see kd having the same issues???

 

Give it a rest. Ime has given him lots of room to develop, lots of freedom. He doesn’t make Alpi stink shooting and finishing. He doesn’t say “hey, don’t box out or grab rebounds” or “make sure to get stripped”. His confidence is shot, and it should be. He doesn’t have much in his toolbox at this point.

 

if this guy does improve this defense or his shot, we need to trade him for Greek freek

 

Ante won't join a team with that stupid coach. He definitely doesn't want to play alongside KD. Don't get your hopes up. But Alperen needs to be traded. For his own future, he needs to get away from this visionless team.

 

I’ll actually be annoyed if he’s announced as an All-Star replacement. He is so undeserving.

Right before his 4th foul, staring at Diabate as the ball is right behind him and Diabate STILL gets the rebound. Has anyone ever taught him that, you know, you can box out AND track the ball? He is a lazy $@“” , just watch him getting into offensive sets like 10 seconds after everyone else is downcourt multiple times a game. Or jogging back on defense as his guy goes down the lane. If his fitness is that lousy, that’s on him.

Pretty sure the Rockets brass has seen enough to put him on the block this summer.

Not an excuse. he sucks right now. But the main problem and the solution is ime.

Didn’t deserve it last year - He just usually got to statpad in the 4th… so he usually got to his numbers even if he had horrible 3qtrs

I knew Sengun fanbois were cooked well done when they said Sengun was tired in early January because he played Eurobasket and that’s why he was struggling…

 

So his inability to shoot, finish, or rebound has little to do with Sengun? All coaching?

 

The problem is Sengun and the solution is efficiency and defense.

 

So if you had the option of replacing Sengun or İme, which one would you go for?
