    He views it as evaluating...

Let's hope he takes action in the summer if (when?) everyone fails the evaluation.

Maybe he is the One getting Giannis as Giannis not leaving Milwaukee gives a chance to the other teams in the Summer.

Not that Giannis is a guarantee with OKC only waiting for a healthy season to dominate everything again.....

It is a sign that he actually cares.

After a game like last night, fans being mad shouldn't surprise you.

At one point you could buy a bride there.

Not sure if that is still the case.

They get mad and crazy after every loss, even if we have won 7 out of the past 10 games. Equal best record in that time frame in the West.

Some losses hurt worse than others. Losing to the Celtics is one of them.

Great teams are not just built via a superstar - they're also built on the margins. OKC has every reason to say "we like our team" yet they consistently go out and add talent every year. Meanwhile, Stone seems to think the purpose of his job is to double down on every decision (good or bad) that he's made previously - only external circumstances (i.e. Oladipo turning down his extension with us, KPJ getting caught beating his girl) seem to force him to pivot. The organization desperately needs a new perspective - I had hoped Ime would offer that, but he's proven himself a deeply uncreative coach who only understands the game from a "hustle" player's vantage.

I shouldn't be surprised that a Fertitta led organization is so half assed - the food at his restaurants is inedible (and I'm a guy with low standards for good food) and he panders to the stupidest of consumers.

The last time I wrote a diatribe like this, the Rockets made a last minute trade. I hope history repeats....

How many of their talents are hired guns? Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein? The rest were home grown. SGA, Chet, JDub, Wallace, Joe, etc. All brought up there. They didn't go get a FVV/Dillon Brooks to try and teach them to become professionals. They did it on their own and figured it out on their own. We basically are trying to teach would be F1 drivers how to drive while never letting them take the wheel and instead watching some has-been do laps while getting 20th but it beats getting 40th amirite.

We just don't have much cap room to work with. OKC didn't always get it right.

I swear to god, Stone, if you even THINK about it...

Sixers have been showcasing Eric; they played him twice in December.

Stone being a lawyer - he’s mentally not built for trade deadline deals - he’s overly cautious

This bit is perceptive and accurate.

As a first time GM, Stone has one foremost incentive: remain in a GM job as long as possible. 90% of GM’s get one chance, and never get that kind of prestige or money again.

Subsequently, Stone is totally averse to EVER making a move that makes a previous move look like a mistake. Better to make no change at all then acknowledge a mistake and accept a need to pivot.

The only exception is when he can launder “taking the L” through another bigger transaction. I.e., Dumping Jalen Green in the process of getting KD, or Garuba/Christopher to sign FVV/DB.
