Damn, the Lakers got Luke Kennard for a scrub and a 2nd round pick. I guess we don't need shooters, huh. SMFH
Definitely some facsimile thereof.... To be honest, what worries me the most....isn't going light, but specifically...a move for Giannis. I want none of that.
If we're not going after a player this deadline, we should be dumping someone (probably Tate) to open up the money to get a buyout guy.
You don't trade just to trade. We are hard capped as well i think, so that doesn't help. Stone has built this roster with no assets to start with. It didn't just magically happen by itself.
Ime trying to find Dillon Brooks replacement from a grit perspective. We thought Tari was gonna be that "dog" for us, but he's not...wouldn't mind Bobby Portis if we can get KPJ or Ryan Rollins included in the deal. This team desperately needs another playmaker because Reed is inconsistent in that role
Jabari & Reed are the weak links of this team. I was disgusted watching Payton Pritchard wall up Jarbari in the post last game. I know alot ppl belive in him but I do not he provides nothing when he can't score other than an occasional weak side shot block (which Amen can replace) he gets cooked on defense routinely & he bricks open jumpers. Easily replaceable piece. Reed is just unplayable when his shot isn't falling his confidence shreds easily & he can't even get the ball past half court sometimes he's scared to dribble & as a NBA level guard that is not ideal.
Reed is getting his opportunities...he's on a shooting slump, and he's not ready to run the offense. He's good at being our 6th man and nothing wrong with that role. Reed has improved from a stand point of not picking up his dribble, but he struggles on traps and full court pressure. We need to free up roster space for any buyout candidates.
Vit for sure. The acquisition cost and salary requirements would have been easy. Kennard would require admitting a mistake on dfs for salary reasons and i just dont think that happens. I think stone is making the same bet he did with adams with regards to dfs.
The problem is that across the league, they allow players like Pritchard to push off because they are small and can't create space off the dribble. I believe in our younger players because they are not at their peak.
