The important thing is that we not give up any of our 7 forwards who can't create their own shot for a guard who could actually set them up. In fact, we should try to acquire even more D-and-maybe-3 guys who will battlefight for Ime.
Nope….he sucked all along. We have Stone who doesn’t know what he’s doing except for the salary cap as he’s a lawyer and has no basketball acumen. He has put together about the worst team possible with 5 lottery picks.
We need a guard and a center, not a PF. And, DFS is one of our only contracts to use. That's ridiculous.
What good will that do, unless Jabari is being traded for a star guard, which seems impossible right now.
Bobby brings what we miss with Steven Adams.................hustle He has been great off the bench A 6'9 guy who can defend Averaging 13.2ppg 6.7 rpg 48 percent from the field 45 percent from three
We can't target multiple players and we have an eye out on the buy out market as well. Bobby can shoot
He's been terrible period.... Yeah, but how many forwards can you play at once? KD, Jabari, Amen, Tari, Tate, Green and Okogie before you sign DFS. They played 27 games without him and didn't miss him at all. Dumping Jalen was fine, the shooting improved, but they didn't go get anyone who could attack the rim from the guard spot. And you have to have a backup plan in case of injury or the younger players you want to rely on don't get it done. FVV, Reed, Amen & Holiday, expecting two of them to do something they have never done - without a backup plan? How did the offense look last year when FVV missed time? Absolutely putrid. These are things I was stating in the offseason but many kept telling me how great DFS was gonna be and how he was gonna come in and fix all the problems at the guard spots .... that hasn't and isn't happening.
Does probably leave the door cracked open for us. We were never going to trade for him at the deadline, Stoney only makes real moves in the offseason. Still don't think we should.
Rockets need to grow some balls and trade KD. We tried but it's clear that this team isn't good enough to get past the 1st round as constructed. It's a shame Fred got injured then Steve... but you have to play the cards that you were dealt with. We'll still make the play-in with all the young guys and the experience without Durant will help develop them further. Re-sign Tari in the off-season then sit back for a bit to see what everyone looks like next year. Hopefully with an extra 1st + young player that you should get in a Durant deal then we can have some capital to deploy to setup our next window. This will never happen under a Fertitta lead organization though, I'm sure the move to bring KD was definitely a more business oriented move.
Ferttitta would have to raise prices at his crappy restaurants to make up for the loss of KD ticket sales. EDIT: Because cutting lemons into even smaller slices in the restaurant kitchens is (a) not feasible (b) not gonna make up the difference. Got-daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, but these cheap billionaires.
