I'm surprised. Beltran is a perfect player for no cap. I don't really associate him with the Mets, even though he spent more prime years than anywhere else. I mean, if you had to pick a team, it would be there or KC, but you don't have to. But I guess he does work for the Mets.
Thank God we did't bring him back. Thanks Framber for the memories and wonderful service. His agent forced him on "I'm sorry it was just a one off" pr tour with most of the teams off season and the result was less offers and less years. One can only imagine that familiar sour face which he used to portrait who's idea it was to convince anybody about anything. Tigers park, not being the number 1 horse and all that might suit him well but still so happy we did't bring him back with like 30-40m pillow one year deal. If the season would start bad or mid and the pressure of missing the bag again would start to pile up, we would be fkd.
Only problem is, if we face the Tigers in the playoffs we getting swept again. But our team isn't built to win a ring right now anyhow so playoffs would be icing on the cake.
Good question, at this point I would say its Framber, simply for the fact that he has lashed out in unprofessional manner......CJ hasn't done anything in the character department like Framber outside of the sulky body language and poor play I wish Framber luck, he was lights out for us on so many occasions and they have a hell of a 1-2 punch which you need in the playoffs........I just wonder who our number 2 will be
Framber CJ craters when multiple elite athletes are not blocked and are trying to kill him Framber does it all on his own
They MAY have a great 1-2 punch Framber was a$$ in the second half last year, era north of 5, whip approaching 1.5 and well less than a K per inning The bigger thing though is if Skubal wins his arb case, which should be known today, that could be 31 million reasons for them to trade him and install Framber as their fragile ace
