HUH, now who has been saying for years that KPJ and his ability is EXACTLY what is missing on this team.

Jimmer was a true G- leaguer. Reed will be the next JJ Redick imo, 11th overall pick, that frustrated his fan base with his subpar 3 point shooting in his early years until he found his footing 4 years in. JJ finally became an elite three point shooter 10 years in tho. Sad.

 

I think Ime is ****ing it up - Reed is not an ISO player, he is a guy that could use a system, same for Tari, Bari, Sengun, and all other Rox players.

Reed is a great spot up shooter and passer in the right situations

with the sagging off amen they are playing balls to wall defense on him at 3 and sometimes half court. He is not skilled enough to get a shot off with the defenders there

Spot on. Ime thinks he has Tatum and Brown out there.

 

Carefully try to maintain Reed's trade value. Play him big minutes against weak teams where he can defend someone and score. Be sure to let him play a lot in garbage time if we ever have a blowout so he can pad his stats. Maybe if necessary have a fake injury if necessary to maintain his perceived potential if all else fails. Then trade him when some GM might still love him. Tomorrow might be his best value . Maybe we can convince folks we are panicking to do something tomorrow.

For those who complain Stone does not take big risks, keeping Reed is a huge risk and bet.

 

I think if the rockets were playing castle 30 mpg we would never break 80 points.

 

I still believe Reed would/will succeed in the right system. He is not in the right role/system at present. I hope he gets traded to a team that can unleash his potential.

 

Meanwhile in reality -
The Rockets are already experts at KPJ's main skill:


.pounding the air out of the ball and taking 14 seconds to begin the first action in the HC.

 

Well, there is that..........

Not saying we need him back, but his skillset is missing on this team - we lack guys who attack the rim and can finish well - Amen does it sparodically - and it is hard when teams pack the paint and say - beat us over the top and we literally have no system to get open shots.

We suck.

Maybe the worst thing about Sheppard having a prolonged rough streak is watching DaDakota try to gloat.

 

He can gloat all he want, KPJ is out with an extended injury.

 

Gee man, as much as people blast me for my takes, when they turn out to be right months later - I gotta have a little fun.....

Reed is struggling for sure, I hope they get him playing off the ball a little more....so he can get some of those easier 3pt shots.

every person you root for crashes and burns. this is your fault, dd. the moment you called reed a generational shooter, he fell off a cliff. just like every one of your favorite players. for the love of the rockets franchise, if you like a player, keep it to yourself.

 

DD cant even tell when someone is making fun of him.

 

Reed is very small for defense. This is the main problem. Because his defense is not strong he does not fit with Alperen.

 

Pretty weak draft class if those 2 are the next best options. Actually makes it more understandable why Reed was drafted with better upside than them.

 

He's the same size as payton Pritchard and PP plays defense just fine.

Greed Sheppard needs to stop cheating and gambling so much.
