Tell me who you actually want from the buyout market. Or are we really about to add more bricks by bringing in Lonzo Ball?

I agree. He still has one more day but he has absolutely no reason to stand pat.

If you have any chance to obtain a GENERATIONAL player like Giannis , I don’t how you wouldn’t jump at it, especially with an aging KD. Those opportunities don’t come around often.

Sengun & Amen are solid, but neither are super stars. If it costs one of them with some future draft capital you pull the trigger. How long can you “rebuild”?

The way I see it we have. 3 lack of effort players, a bunch of hustle players who can't shoot the 3. 2 low iq players who always wind up killing momentum, a head coach who has no offensive mind and dumb gm who can't realize this team needs a point guard to synchronize this together. Alpi should never bring the ball up the court, Kd should never bring the ball up the court. Then you're in iso mode with 4 flat. Malik Monk is available and I would prioritize him. He makes a lot of money, have to give a little to get a little. Also pick up a point guard off of buyout. Done deal, this team will be so much better.

Chris Paul, although he isn't the Chris Paul that we know. Mike Conley. Tyus Jones if Charlotte buy him out after trading for him. We will get a better picture tomorrow. I can see lots of moves with players just so teams get the draft picks.

I see a lot of people say he is cheap, based on how well his businesses have done post pandemic and the investments he has made and money he has put up, I don't think he is cheap. Team plane upgrade, new practice facility, bringing in $50M players like KD, likely under the table deals from his rolls royce and bentley dealerships (those 2018-2019 rockets alll had leases from there).

I think he is a poor leader for an NBA franchise. A good leader is able to put in the right people and let them go to work. He has had success in the hospitality business, and foolishly thinks that he can apply that to a sports franchise. When he bought the team, there was a mass exodus of top employees in the org, including Tad Brown. The replacements were made without a lot of thought, I think the $2B acquisition of the Rockets was the biggest he's made up until that time, and he was already trying to get his sons involved in the business without relevant experience.

That sheds light into his thought process of hiring, not really a focus on bringing in the best, but just promoting people out of convenience The Westbrook deal also showed us how he was taking advice from his sons and star player vs having the smart people make decisions. He essentially just promoted people from within (Rafal, Gretchen, etc) vs really doing a full search to find the best. Him being drunk at Mardi Gras saying "Pray for Victor" when Victor was visibly ecstatic when the Rockets ended up with the #4 pick also shows a man who is relying on a literal prayer does not have a real plan. I may be wrong, but I think the other team owners that made billions elsewhere are not committing the amount of time Tilman is to an unrelated business. You can not have a leader who is not involved in the day to day and expect to be successful.

You know the spurs have a practice facility that cost 100x more than ours? And they are getting a new stadium.

He isn't cheap. spends loads of money which some fans think is endless, and they can buy anything they want.

Yes, but it doesn't have to happen tomorrow. I know the front office is also looking at the buyout market.

Maybe it isn't the trades that will improve the team, maybe it is the coach finding an offensive system for once.

I did, and it was the lack of an offensive system that failed us. Can we trade the coach?

Not sure where you got 100X from, but the Rockets facility is estimated at $75M and the Spurs is at $100M.
