Yes, Buzelis, Giddey and Ivey are keepers – not untouchable, but keepers – and Dosunmu, who is also a free agent, is a close fourth. Ideally, the Bulls would like to re-sign him this summer, but everything is fluid. The obvious question now is what to do in the frontcourt? The Bulls have been linked to Zion Williamson, but the Pelicans haven’t budged on that front, while the Rockets’ Tari Eason has been in play. Big man Yves Missi has been discussed but there was a stalemate.
Not a big Ayo fan, but he's a lot better than White. He can run a PnR. He isn't a turnover dispenser. He can cut and is better at spotting up. I'd say he's more effort than impactful defensively, but that could be a Chicago thing. White is better at iso than Ayo, but neither's iso would probably be in the Top 3 iso guys for the Rockets. Well, White's attempts likely would be, but that's not a good thing. Not sure I'd do a FRP for Ayo. I'm not sure his Bird rights are worth much. I'd be worried Brooklyn would offer him a deal more than the Rockets would. I would be happy if the Rockets got him as he would help the team now (i.e., the tone of this post might be more negative than I want).

A first round pick for Ayo?? Yuck. There is no point [pun intended]. I am (and always have been) super high on Ayo [I believe I was calling for us to draft him with our late 1st rounders way back when], but he is a combo guard with defensive chops. I don't really see him doing much here except displacing Okogie from the rotation. I don't see the point. For a 2nd rounder, sure. But not remotely close to being worth a first.
After watching two minutes of Ayo highlights, I can confirm he's our missing piece. Let's go get him!
Ayo is better than White, IMO. He makes so little money, $7.5M, that it would either need to be Clint or Tari straight up or Chicago would need to include another player. They've flipped their roster so fast that I'm not even sure who's on their team at the moment.
It would be hard to match salary. Simons makes $27.6M. FVV can't be traded without his permission. It would have to be Adams, DFS, and one of the minimum guys?
It's weird on Yahoo Sports app I was looking at the lineup and they show Simmons on the Rockets. I was shocked for a second before I realized it was a mistake......or is it???????
Not sure what you're getting at? Yes, I watch basketball, you don't have to be condescending because you disagree. I don't care about White either, you reply as if I was the leader of the Coby White Fan Club. 2-3 first rounders is an overpay, you pay that for that someone who will put us over the top. I personally wouldn't want to pay 1 first rounder, and we can debate whether or not Ayo is good enough to pay that, but can we agree the Rockets aren't? Does he put us over the top? This isn't Toronto going after Kawhi.
he’s instant offense and can handle the ball. Great shooter, good finisher. But obviously a defensive liability. I just don’t see the rockets trading for him given that he’s so undersized. Especially with Reed here I just don’t see it. That and the defensive concerns.
